Scraptastical Kreations Digital Stamp Challenge ...

It's Friday, and that means another challenge from Scraptastical Kreations on our SK's Fan Page.  I'm so proud to announce that our first ever Weekly Digital Challenge starts today.
This weeks challenge is to create a card with a "Flower" theme, and your design MUST include a Scraptastical Kreations Digital Stamp.
While I was at the Chicago CHA Super Show last week I picked up this awesome Lattice Frame Die Cut. I knew it would be perfect to create a card to showcase SK's Flower Freebie which is you can find here.
I cut out a section of the lattice for my sentiment, then weaved the flourish leaves thru the lattice, and attached it to my card base.  Next was to attach the SK flowers with pop dots, add some bling stickers in the center of each flower, and then I stamped the sentiment in the opening of the lattice.
Don't forget to head on over to the Fan Page to see what the other members of the Design Team have created.
You have until the Thursday, August 4th, to upload you designs to SK's Fan Page.
Hope my design inspires you to join in on the fun!

You have great taste ...

The first challenge by Paper Smooches is called the July Sparks Challenge.  I chose to create my card based on one of the Sketches from the PS Designer Drafts 6.

I paper pieced the milk shake from the PS Sugar Rush set.  The PP had some swirls printed on it so I strategically placed individual Rhinestones over the design, and further.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

The tide will turn ...

My 1st card this evening is for the current challenge over at Off The Wall Craftiness (#57).  Love the inspirational photos provided by OTWC.  The theme for this challenge is "Create a Beach Scene".

I recently won a couple Digi Stamps from Pattie's Creations over at Crafters Digital Art Center for a card I created.  I'm using one of the Digi's I chose for this challenge.
The Digi Stamp is called Allie Bath House and is absolutely perfect for this challenge.  I printed this lovely up on Neenah Solar White, colored it with my copics, then fussy cut it into several different pieces.  Next was to trim some Neenah Cream and create the sky with distress ink.  I distressed the scrap with Antique Linen, Wild Honey & Vintage Photo, then tore it into pieces, and then distressed that part also to create my sand.  Then I laid the different pieces from the scene on my backdrop.  Cut the Hot Air Balloon from some PP, popped it on, then stamped the sentiment from my Teeny Bikini Wilson Designs stamps.
I put the teeny weenie polka dot bikini on the inside of the card.
Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create.

Season's Greetings ...

Designed 2 Delight Free Stamp of the Month - July Week 3 is snowman, with a Christmas Theme.  Creating a Christmas Card in July was really hard for me.  So I decided to go ahead and create my card for the Designed 2 Delight "Christmas in July" Designers Challenge.  No Red or Green was used on this card.

I printed the Freebie Snowman and colored him up with my copics, fussy cut him, and put him on the side.  Pulled out some burgundy cardstock and stamped snowflakes all over, used a Quickie Glue Pen to add glitter to all the snowflakes, and attached it to my card.  Popped on the Snowman, added some stickles to the bottom as snow and to the star, then added some purple gems over the buttons going down his belly.  Something more was needed for the card so I pulled out my Swanky Snowdudes and stamped the north pole on brown cardstock, put the sentiment on the rectangle and distressed it before popping it on my design.  Final step was to use a black Spica pen one the pole and around the greetings.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Admit One ...

I'm cutting it close on this one.  The card I created for Sassy Studio Design Friday Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet turned out to be clean and simple so it is perfect for this weeks Sassy Studio Design DTBST#82.

After coloring up Cotton Candy Candace, which was last week's Friday Freebie over at PCP, I put her on the side.  Now the challenge over at PCP was to include a ticket in your design.  Sooo I created really big tickets for my card.  I used my Nestabilities to make two equal in size tickets, used a 1" circle and punched the corners, used a ruler and 0.8 Black Multi-Liner to draw in my lines, and then used my new Alphadot Stamps to add the text.  I then distressed the tickets in different colors, layered them on the base, and used the left overs from 1/4" mini pop dots to pop on Candace.  I cut out an extra cotton candy, colored it in with my copics, outlined with a PITT Artist Pen, went over the edges with a Clear Spica pen, tapped a lot of dots with the Spica pen on the cotton candy, and popped it on.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

A basket full of Wishes ...

Tonight I'm sharing a card I made over the weekend for the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays ... CFC12.  This weeks challenge is to use a rub-on transfer or stickers.

I don't have many on hand and used a rectangle border rub-on around my sentiment.

I have another Bridal Shower coming up next month, and thought this would be nice although very non-traditional.

I stamped the bike and colored it in with my Spica pens, then stamped the basket and used distress ink on it, and attached it with a Quickie Glue Pen.  I then used different distress inks to create the ground and sky.  Stamped on my sentiment, then rubbed on the border.  Last step was to add the flower gems to the basket,
and layed it on my card.
Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create.

Happy Birthday ...

I created a Birthday Scene
for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #14

I combined stamps from
   Scraptastical Kreations [SK]
to create my card.

I printed off the SK Digi Birthday Cake, used one copy to stamp the YNS confetti on, colored the other with my Copic Markers and a Gold Metallic Pen, fussy cut it out, and put it on the side.  I used the chimney from LF's Cozy Christmas set and stamped it on some tan cardstock, cut it down, turned it over and used a Copic 0.5 Black Multi-liner Pen to outline the table top and the border.  I then placed the table on the confetti decorated SK Digi, and popped on the colored birthday cake.  Stamped a coupled birthday hats from the LF Hats off to You set, and popped them on the table.  The banner was created with the sentiment from the same LF set.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Thinking of You ...

Color Splash challenges are so much fun.  I LOVE combining black & white plus another color.  That is the current challenge over at The Play Date Cafe (#91)

I picked up this new die cut at the CHA Super Show on Thursday and new it would be perfect for this challenge.
I purchased the Lattice at the Cheery Lynn Designs booth.  This lattice can be changed up quite a bit, but I chose to leave it in its entire form and layered it on my black card.  I had a hard time choosing my "Color Splash" and finally decided on orange.    The background for my sentiment, the brads for the center of my flowers, and the butterfly with the swirling rhinestones.

I went with a CAS card because I knew it would be perfect for the CAS Challenge going on over at Wee Memories (#62).

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Hello Friend ...

Avocado Arts started creating challenges this month, and the first is a Color Challenge.

I'm late in creating my card to upload to their Flicker Page, but I wanted to play along.  I used stamps from the June and July sets.

For the 3-D flowers I stamped the flower several times on the yellow and red cardstock, then fussy cut them out all, and put them together with 1/4" Mini Pop Dots.  Stamped the boot and leaves, fussy cut them out and layered them on my die cut background.  Added the little bird and sentiment, then I used my spica pen to add a little sparkly to my flowers, and some stickles to the center of the stars on the boot.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Picture Perfect Angel ...

It's Friday, and that means a new Challenge from Scraptastical Kreations on our Facebook Fan Page.  This weeks challenge is for you to create a card that includes a stamp, and a Scraptastical Kreations pattern or Digi Stamp.
For my card I combined the cute SK's Angelic Digi Stamp with Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese and Jessie's ABC's.  It's a perfect combination!

After printing out Angelic, I colored her in with my copic markers and set her aside.  I stamped the awesome Polaroid frame on some cream paper, used two different distress inks to color the frame, and then cut out the center.  I then layed the frame on Angelic, cut her down to size and then went around the edges with a Black Copic Marker.  Layered the pieces together, added a little twine along the bottom, and layered the design on my card.  I fussy cut the halo from another Angelic, colored in the halo with a gold pen, and popped it on with a 3-D Foam Square.  Last step was to add the word "Angel", which I stamped on the scrap left from the center of the Polaroid and punched out the word with the smallest of the EKS Photo Labels Punch.

Hope you'll play along with us.  Head on over to SK's FB Fan Page for more information, and to upload your design.

Hope my design inspires you to join in on the fun!

Lovely Peacock ...

Design 2 Delight hosts a Progressive Friday's Freebie Challenge, and the design I used for this card is called "Peacock" and can be purchased here.

I made the Peacock my focal point.  I colored this lovely with my copic markers, dry embossed the surrounding area with various inks, added some rhinestones, and then used my Spica Pen on various lines.  It's a little hard to see in the picture but looks shiny in person.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

This lovely card was made for all of my Followers, new and old.  I really appreciate your following me, and appreciate all of your loving comments.

I used the super cute Scraptastical Kreations "I Cheerish You" Digital Stamp which can be found HERE.  After printing this lovely, I colored it in with my Copic Markers then used dies for the square and scalloped border, and applied some distress ink.  I layered them all together, popped on a second set of cherries with 3D Foam Tape, then added a rhinestone over the "i".  I also used my Spica pen to add glitter to her lashes.

Hey Sugar You make life sweet ...

What a great challenge for this week from CAS-ual Fridays.  Sweets & Treats is the 11th challenge that these ladies have provided us.

I had a blast creating this card over the weekend!

I pulled out my Sugar Rush stamps from Paper Smooches.  This is the first time I've played with them, and I look forward to working with them a whole lot more.
I kept a Sketch that Wendy over at Repeat Impressions created back on June 29th, but I never got to play in their Challenge.  I thought is was perfect for this weeks challenge.

After cutting out all of the squares and layering them together, I stamp the "Sweet Treats" in their boxes and onto some scrap paper.  I fussy cut the extra "Sweet Treats" and popped them on.  After stamping the "Hey Sugar" sentiment I punched it out with a 1" circle punch, distressed the edges, and popped it on in the center of the boxes.   Tied on the ribbon, and added the final sentiment in the bottom corner.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Hello Friend ...

Here is a card I created over the weekend for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #90.   I took these colors and combined them with the Avocado Arts July Sketch Challenge which I will link up to their Flicker Group.

The first thing I did was go thru all of my paper to see if I could match the colors.  Then I pulled out the two Avocado sets I have and decided that the July Hello Friend Stamp Set works great with this sketch.

Hope my design and interpretation of the sketch and color challenge inspire you to go forth and create.

Sailin' By to Say Hi! ...

When I saw this challenge by Embellish Magazine I knew I had to use some of my new stamps that are perfect for creating a "Nautical Card".

I really love their sponsor for this challenge.  DeNami Design has so many cute stamps to create with.  I don't have any of their Nautical Stamps but managed to create a great Nautical scene for this challenge.

To create the skyline I used a 1" circle punch on a post-it note, positioned it, and used sponges with many different inks.  The sand was created with ripped tan cardstock, and distressed with different inks and layered at the bottom of the skyline.  The sailboats were stamped and paper pieced together, attached with my Quickie Glue Pen and 3D Foam Squares.  The pillar was stamped onto tan cardstock, distressed, and paper pieced with the Seagull standing on top.  To finish off the card I stamped several birds in the sky.

Here is a side view of the card ...

I even finished off the inside of the card ...

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Pocket Full of Love ... Joy Fold Card ...

For the person who "Anonymously" posted a comment that they were waiting to see another card from me, here you go!

When I saw that the current Crazy 4 Challenge #96 was to create a Joy Fold Card I knew that Scraptastical Kreations Digi Stamp Pocket Full of Love would be perfect for this challenge.

Details on this card will be provided below all of the pictures. ;o)
Folded Card
One fold opened.

Second Fold Opened
The first thing I did was print out my Pocket Full of Love stamp.  Once again I printed two copies of the exact same size.  Once I got into my craft room/space in my basement I chose the paper to use, cut and scored all the pieces needed and set it aside.  Now to color my stamp.  First I cut out the pocket only of one of the copies leaving the paper above the bear.  Next I cut out the bear only from the second copy to use as a mask, which I attached with removable glue dots.  I used Tim Holtz distress ink and Memento Ink on the pocket, removed the mask, then colored my lovable bear, and fussy cut the rest of the stamp out.  Then I cut out the extra heart and used the same inking technique on it, and popped it on with 3D Foam Squares.  I then put all the pieces together, and cut the bottom of the cardstock to match the pocket shape.  I then cut out 2 hearts from the extra PP ... one was placed over the heart, and one was placed at the bottom of the pocket with a 3D Foam Square to tuck the pocket under.

I left the inside completely blank for now.  I will be giving this to my hubby for his birthday next month so I a month to figure out what to write inside.

For a complete Tutorial of the Joy Fold Card technique you can go here.  Splitcoast Stampers provides pictures with the Tutorial.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

Pocket Full of Love ...

I have another card for you today featuring the Pocket Full of Love Digital Stamp from Scraptastical Kreations.  I think this stamp is perfect for creating Valentine's Day Card, or you can just slip it into a briefcase, lunchbox, etc.  I can see myself creating Valentine's for my daughter's teacher(s) next year using this cute lovable bear.

I printed up the stamp two times.  First step was to use distress ink on the entire pocket, which I cut out an put on the side.  Next I colored in the bear and hearts on the second copy, fussy cut them out and popped them on.  I put some 3D Foam Squares behind the bear to pop him up a bit.  To finish off the cute bear I added some tiny rhinestones over his eye so they would pop.

Last minute submission for the Lawnscaping Challenge #13 ... "Don't forget the inside!"

I don't normally finish the inside of my cards with a 3-dimensional design.  However, I picked up a DeNami Pop-Up Tiered Variety Pack a while ago and decided to give it a try.  There were three different version in the pack.  I ruined the first one, and went with a different one for the second go-around.  Here is what I came up with.

The first thing I did was cut the DeNami tiered card, on the solid lines, to get my 3-D section to work with.  I added distress ink to add some color, then trimmed the card down 1/4" and layered it onto my cardstock.  I then decorated the face of the card, and struggled on the inside.  Here is what I decided on.

Here is an angled picture.

I can truly say that this card was a challenge for me.  I will be giving it to my future daughter-in-law at her first Bridal Shower this Saturday, along with the 60 Thank You cards I made for her.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create.

Don't forget to come back Friday for the first Scraptistical Kreations Blog Hop and Grand Opening.  The Blog Hop Blinkie in the upper right hand corner will take you to our Facebook Fan Page.  "Like" us so you can participate in all the fun things going on this weekend.

Sassy Studio Designs PCP Challenge is really awesome this week.  It's called "Plunder Yer Booty!", and Sassy Studio provide some awesome Pirate Digi Stamps to create with.
After printing this Precious Pirate, I colored here with my copic markers, and different inks.  To get the moon for the sentiment I used a trick I learned last Friday at Craft Fancy in Arlington Hts., IL.  I used a 1" punch on a post-it note, layed it on the design and dry embossing around it.  Then I stamped the sentiment inside the moon.  I don't know how well it shows up bet I used some glitter pens on the sword, around the seams of her blouse and on the feather.

Once I layered the design on my cardstock I added my gems.  I also decorated the inside of the card.
I printed the treasure map from the Pirate Accessories, inked it up with some distress ink and a red marker.  I scored part of the scroll, and only put tape on the corner to attached it to the inside of the card.  I will use scotch tape to put some birthday money under the map for my nephew who turns 17 this week.  He, of course, will have to figure out were his birthday present is.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!

This card was made with the lovely "Strawberries" Digital Stamp from Designed 2 Delight.   This lovely stamp was a FREEBIE and part of the monthly Freebie stamp challenge.

I created 10 of these card to finish, and left them blank.  These cards along with 50 Thank You cards are being given as a Bridal Shower gift this Saturday.

I really enjoyed coloring in this stamp, and putting together these cards.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create.

Shaped Card for a Bridal Shower ...

Design Team Announcement and card is located here.

Now onto my card for CAS-ual Fridays current challenge (#10), which is to create a Shaped Card.

I am a Paper Smooches Club Member so I have been getting Kim's templates for a couple of months now.  This is the first card I've made using one of her templates.

I used the April Shape Card Template, which is an apron, to create a Bridal Shower card.  It will go perfect with the handmade potholders / hotpads that Katie is giving to Lauren this Saturday.  My 60 Thank You cards are done.

After printing the template I pulled out my FOLKal Points stamps, and inked up the cute gingerbread cookie, the hills, and faux stitching and stamped it around.  Colored him in, then applied two different distress inks to achieve the color of the apron.  I cut out the template, then added another distress ink around the edges of the card.  The pocket of the apron was attached with 3D tape, rhinestones were added for the eyes and cheeks.  The ribbon was attached with my Tiny Stapler, and then I put the utensils in the pocker.

I inked up the inside of the card with two colors, and added the measuring spoons to the bottom corner of the card.  No sentiments were added.  I am going to let Katie scribble on the inside ... Lauren will know its from Katie.

Hope my design inspires you to go forth and create!
