Autumn Mums ...

The weekly challenge over at Designed2Delights is all about Fall.

I love this weeks Digital Stamp from D2D.  It's called "Autumn Mums".

This card was made in memory of my mother.  Mums were one of her favorite flowers, and we always had them in the house during this time of year.

After coloring the stamp with my copic earlier this week, I finally put my card together earlier today.   I left a section at the bottom for adding a sentiment.  I love the sentiments that came with the "Autumn Mums" but am thinking this card would work for many different occasions.

I love you ...

This week I am celebrating 27 amazing years of being married to my loving husband. I have several cards that I've made over the past couple of months in anticipation of this day, but after looking at them again I thought they were too girlie.

I decided to use this weeks CAS-ual Friday's Mostly Monochromatic Challenge along with the sketch from  Paper Players Challenge #65 to create a new card.

I chose blues tones for my card.  I turned the sketch, distressed the edges of the layers, popped on a Chipboard Heart that I stamped my heart and sentiment on, and then used distress ink to get the brown tone.

Masculine with a little bit of feminine in the mix.

I pulled out all of the DeNami Animal stamps that I have and decided for my first card to create a Halloween Scene.

I used the adorable Cuddle Pals Stamps Set [PF17], Doghouse [B105], Fence [E119], Three Winter Trees [F207], and Happy Halloween [F206].  I used several different Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create the sky, ground, and leaves on the ground and tree with different size Darice Embossing Brushes.  Once I put this scene together it need a little something else so I pulled out the bats from Lawn Fawn's Happy Haunting set to finish off the scene.

Candly Apple Fall card ...

{Freshly Made} Sketches is a new Sketch Challenge Blog.  I missed the first challenge because I wasn't 100% sure of the rules.  I took this week's sketch and stretched it to create a standard size card.

I created this card for {Freshly Made} Sketch #2, PCP Sassy Studio Designs Fabulous Freebie Friday & Challenge, and Sassy Studio Designs Dare to be Sassy Thursday #90.
I need to thank Sassy Studio Designs for this fabulous "Candy Apple" Digital Stamp.  She is so adorable, and I had a great time coloring her in with my Copic Markers.  I would also like to thank {Freshly Made} Sketches for the use of their sketch.

Thank you for stopping by!

Mini Cards ...

This weeks CAS-ual Friday's #20 challenge is to create mini cards ... cards that are no larger than 4" x 4".

Mini cards are so fun to make, and they are perfect for quick notes.  I created my card using the Designed2Delights Progressive Challenge FREE Digital Stamp.

My cards are 4" x 3".  I created two similar cards, and just changed up the colors.  I will be making four more of these using different colors to create a set that I will give as a gift.

I colored the Happiness Blooms Digital Stamp with my Copic Markers, layered it on coordinating cardstock, then popped it on the card with 3D Foam Squares.  The final step was to apply some Glossy Accents to the water in the vase to make it shimmer like water.

Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Winter Wishes ...

I have several cards that I've created recently which I will be uploading today & tomorrow.

My first card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #121.  I've been following the MMSC Blog for some time now, and this is the first time I've created a card for one of their challenges.

While creating this card I had the Create "Cards with Foxes" challenge on my mind, and believe it's a great pairing.
I had to pull out my Lawn Fawn "Winter Fox" for these challenges!  She is the perfect size for the sketch, and I split up the sentiment for the three lines in the sketch.  I paper pieced the scarf and mug, and added a heart to the mug.  I just LOVE how this turned out and hope you agree.  I don't know if you can see but I went over the steam and her lashes with a Clear Spica Pen.

Thank you for stopping by!

Just because ...

Good evening everyone!  I have another card for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #3 to share with you this evening.
My card features the "Swallowtail & Sunflower" Digital Stamp provided by Just Inklined.  I loved coloring in this stamp.  I colored the Sunflower and Swallowtail separately with Faber-Castell products.  Fussy cut both of them out, then added the swallowtail with 3/16" Mini Glue Dots.  After putting my boarder together I attached the Swallowtail & Sunflower with 3/16" Mini Glue Dots and Paper Studios Sticky Doos, and then I curled the tips of the flower a little bit.  Once I added the sentiment from A Muse Studio's "Just Because" stamp set, I added some faux stitching around the boarder with a ruler and a White Gelly Roll Pen.

I think adding the faux stitching really makes the stamp stand out.

Come on over to CDAC and see all of the wonderful inspirational projects provided by the Design Team, and then join us.

Thanks for stopping by!

Let the good times roll ...

Wee Memories #67 Challenge is all about "One Layer Creations".

You would think that creating a 1-layer card would be the easiest card to make.  Not for me this week.  I tried using three different stamps sets until I created something worth sharing.

The final card was created with Paper Smooches "Perpetual Bliss" stamp set.  I just love the retro music box.  Happy Days was one of my favorite shows growing up so I had to use that part of the set first.

You should head on over to Wee Memories to check out their Big Huge Blog Friends Giveaway going on right now.

A*Muse*A*Palooza Workshop

This past Sunday I went to the A Muse Studio Workshop at the Holiday Inn in Rosemont, IL.

I'm going to share with you the items that I created while at the workshop.  I take no credit for any of the designs you're about to see.

One of the reasons I signed up for the Workshop was so I could meet other Consultants, and get more information from them about being a Consultant.  I finalized my decision to become an A-Muse Studio Consultant before leaving the Workshop, signed up once I got home, and have already received notification that my Starter Kit has shipped.

This is the first time I have ever started my own home business.  I really like the A-Muse products and look forward to bringing these products to others in my community, and further afar.  I've included a link to my Consultant Page on the sidebar.  I would love if you stop by, check out the products, and place an order if you see something that draws you.
