Thank you ...

Popping in to share a card for the From the Heart "Free Stamp of the Month" Challenge. I'm cutting this close, as the deadline for submissions is today. :o)

I colored the Flower Pot Chick Stamp with my Copic Markers, applied some Glossy Accents to the adorable chicks eye, cut it out with my Spellbinder Dies, and added Recollection Pearls to the tiny flowers. With the school year quickly coming to an end I'm going to be needing Thank You cards, and this image is perfect for one of Katie's educational team members. The sentiment is a SRM Sticker from the #53004 Thanks set.

My design for today's card is based on Feeling Sketchy Challenge #57.

Well it's going to be 80-degrees here today so I'm heading off to run some errands, and then working in the yard! Have a marvelous day!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Hoping your birthday is ...

Good morning, and Happy Monday to you all! Spring has finally arrived here in Northern Illinois, and I just love it! Windows open ... sitting out in the sun ... barbecuing = epic weekend! Now for this weeks Love to Create Challenge ...

Our Sponsors for this week are Dr. Digi House of Stamps and Dilly Beans Stamps

My card features the super cool Slugger Sam from Dr. Digi House of Stamps. I'm not really a baseball fan so my card doesn't represent any of the teams out there. I just went with colors that I thought would make Sam POP! I pulled the colors from Sam ... Grey, Red & Black ... when choosing my cardstock.  The chevron in my design comes from an EKS Punch, and the stripes and sentiment come from a couple stamp sets that I own. We have Neat & Tangled's "On the Strip", and CAS-ual Friday's "Amazeballs".

Here's a look at the inside ...

The design for my card is based on the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #83.

The sketch was perfect for creating my masculine birthday card with Slugger Sam. Speaking of birthdays, Michele over at CAS-ual Friday's has an upcoming birthday so this weeks CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #99  is called Birthday Bash. Here's to a marvelous birthday Michele! {hugs}

Punches and Dies are one of my go-to crafting products, and I can't wait to see what you create with these products. Remember to share them with us over at the Love to Create Challenge Blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

This is my 2nd post today, please scroll down to continue Following the Yellow Brick Road
for the Sassy Studio Designs "Off to Find a Wizard" Release/Blog Hop.

*******************************

Our Sponsor for this fortnight is All that Scraps

Us Designers were give the opportunity to choose the stamp we would use today. I chose this lovely girl called C.C. Designs Spring Kiki LaRue. She is the perfect image to create a card for my daughter, Katie, to give her grandmother. Now I just need to figure out what to put on the inside of the card. My MIL's birthday is so close to Mother's Day that I have to decided which this one will be for.

I colored Kiki with my Copic Markers, cut her out, added some pearls, and popped her on my design based on the Sketchy Friday Challenge #16.

With Mother's Day right around the corner I'm sure that many of you are creating projects for someone special. Make sure you share your creations with us over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Searching for the Wizard ...

Good morning and Welcome to Day 2 of our Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop as we head ... Off to Find a Wizard! However, if you just arrived make sure you head to the SSD Blog to start at the beginning of the Yellow Brick Road, and for a list of all the Designers participating today.

Speaking of Yellow Brick Roads ... Check out this Tic-Tac-Toe!

All of the Designers played Tic-Tac-Toe to showcase the NEW Sassy Designs Stamps based on the original Wizard of Oz, which you can purchase in the SSD Store.

I had so much fun coloring our Sassy Scarecrow! I used Google to search for photos from the original Wizard of Oz to make sure the colors I used were accurate.

Brick (DP), Yellow (DP), and Brown Ribbon.

I also used Red for the base of my card and matting, added bling to each of the corners, and pulled out the green from her outfit to create my design. I created today's card based on Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #203. Before I show you the sketch, how about a closer look at our Sassy Scarecrow!

Copics: E40, E41, E42, E43, YR23, YR24, E35, E33, E30, E37, G42, YG63, YG67, G94, B24, B37, B39

Allow me to introduce the newest addition to Our Lil' Series!

Our Lil' Stinker

This little guy is so stinkin' cute. I stamped him with Versa Mark Ink, embossed him with black embossing powder, colored him with my Faber-Castell Art Grip Pencils and Gamsol, and cut him out. The flowers going down the side was stamped on scrap cardstock, cut out, run thru my Xyron Sticker Makers, popped onto my design with some Rhinestones from Recollections.

I based my card on the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge #98, which I turned to accommodate the adorable Lil' Stinker.

Love builds the warmest nests ...

Good morning! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Me ... I had the pleasure of hanging out with Michelle from Avocado Arts on Saturday, and picked up some crafty goodies while in Milwaukee, WI at the Scrapbook Expo. Sunday was spent putting my goodies away and housework, and a little bit of crafting. Speaking of crafting, I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you today.

Our Sponsors for this week are Whoopsi Daisy and Meljen's Designs.

My choice for today's BINGO is "Doily ... Die Cuts ... Sentiment".

My card features one of the images you get in Whoopsi Daisy Sheet 370. I colored the lovely birds with my Copic Markers and cut it out to layered on top of my design.

Doily ~ Lacey Doily Motifs Dies by Nestabilities (S5-063)
Die Cut ~ Memory Box Tall Birch Die

I would love to see your BINGO inspired creation. Make sure you share it with us at the Love to Create Challenge Blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Bouquet of Flowers ...

Super excited that today is Friday ... going out to breakfast with friends after Katie gets on the bus, and then back home for some crafting. It's the perfect start to the weekend as I'm off to Wisconsin tomorrow for some crafting FUN! Let the weekend begin!

(create a project that includes Punches or Dies)

For today's project I chose to work with Dies ~ Large Classic Oval Dies from Nestabilities. To get the layered effect I printed three copies of the Bouquet (digi16220) stamp on Neenah Solar White cardstock, and proceeded to cut two of them down with my dies. I then used Removable Glue Dots to layer the image for coloring with my Copic Markers. Once colored I removed the Glue Dots, applied Lemon Whip Pigment Ink over each panel with a dauber, and added Crystal Stickles over the center of each flower. Once everything was dry, I added some Evergreen Bough Distress Ink around the edges of my colored image, and then put all the pieces together.

The Bouquet stamp is available in Digital and Red Rubber Format in the QKR Store; all you have to do is use the Search feature and enter 16220 to locate the stamp.

Remember to share you creations with us over at the QKR Blog!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Gift Card Holder ...

This is my 2nd post today, please scroll down to see my Amazeballs Sassy creation!

**********************************

I got really creative for this weeks NEW Meljen's Designs Challenge #156, which is all about Recycling (use a recycled element on your project).

I recycled an empty Birth Control package to create a Gift Card Holder. Honestly, I did! As I was getting ready to throw out the used birth control package this CRAZY idea to turn it into a Gift Card Holder came to me. Even my husband gave me a funny look when I told him why I kept the used package. So here goes ...

Before

After

I printed the Flower Power Car, colored it with my Copic Markers, a White Gelly Roll Pen and some Clear Star colored pens. I then cut the cardstock down and set it aside. Before attaching the cardstock to the container, I added Bubblegum Swiss Dot Washi Tape around the edges of the container. Once that was done, I attached the colored image with Score-Tape, trimmed the edges, and then applied Picked Raspberry Distress Ink around all the edges.

The next step was to create the flap for the inside to attach the Gift Card because I threw out the inside. So I cut down some pink cardstock, rounded the corners, punched a hole in the corner, applied distress ink around the edges, opened the container to add the cardstock, and closed it back.

Removable Glue Dots were used to attach the Gift Card.

I used the same pink cardstock to cover the back of the container. This is where I will add a Birthday Sentiment.

I think my Recycled project turned out pretty cool! So ... how do you think I did?

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Designers created for this weeks Challenge over on the Meljen's Blog, and then share your Recycled creations.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Ruza

Hope your birthday is ...

Good morning and Happy Thursday everyone! I'm back with a brand NEW Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenge to share with all of you.

(let's see your creations that feature fancy folds)

This lovely lady is called Esmeralda Honey.  Once she was colored with my Copic Markers, I cut her out to pop on my oval dies!

Now for my card ... I don't create many Fancy Fold cards so I did some research by popping over to Splitcoastsstampers to search out different Fancy Folds.  I felt Esmeralda was the perfect fit for a Double Dutch Fold card.

Time to open the folds ...

While going thru my bling, I found these clusters of stars to surround Esmeralda, and then added some individual stars that I had in my stash along the bottom. The sentiment comes from CAS-ual Fridays Amazaballs stamp set.

When I made today's card it was with a purpose. My card is being mailed to little girl named Maci who lost her father in November last year, and she will be celebrating her first birthday without her him in her life. Graphicat Sketch's current Challenge is dedicated to Maci. Please go to the Graphicat Sketch's Challenge Blog for all of the details on how you can help make a little girl feel loved!

The rest of the Sassy Designers really WOWED me with their creations for this weeks Challenge, so you really NEED to head on over to the SSD Blog to check them out, and then throw in your hat for a chance to WIN some amazing Sassy images!

I'm submitting this card to the Graphicat Sketch's Challenge, Birthday Cards for Maci.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Happy Birthday ...

Please scroll down or go HERE for the DeNami Fancy Favors Blog Hop.

**************************

Good Morning! Happy Tax Day everyone, or as my daughter Katie loves to hear ... Happy Birthday! On this day 21-years ago, my beautiful daughter Katie was born. We celebrated her birthday this weekend. Here is a picture of Katie with her brother and his wife as we were singing Happy Birthday.

Now speaking of Birthday's ... I created a Birthday card for the NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you.

(created a project for one of the guys in your life)

Our Sponsors this week are ...
Rick St. DennisFresh Brewed Designs, and Di's Digi Downloads

I fell in love with this stamp from Rick St. Dennis called Country Lane Scene! I knew it would be perfect for my Masculine Birthday Card! I added a bit of color to the rooftops and greenery with my Copic Markers, and applied some Glassy Accents to all the windows. The next step was to cut the top part of the image. I cut an extra piece of cardstock, added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and then layered the image on top using 3D Foam Squares behind the rooftops to create a 3D effect. After adding Antique Linen Distress Ink over the bottom of the image I matted it. After distressing and matting my sentiment, I put my card together based on the Paper Craft Planet Sketch SK041213.

Making cards "For the Guys" is a challenge for me, but using this awesome image from Rick St. Dennis made it so easy! I hope you'll share your project with us this week over at the Love to Create Challenge Blog!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

DeNami Fancy Favors Blog Hop ...

This is my second post today, please scroll down for The Corrosive Challenge.

********************************

Welcome to the DeNami Fancy Favors Blog Hop! I'm so happy that you have joined us today. Your journey thru the Fancy Favors Blog Hop will showcase the many different ways to incorporate DeNami Products in your creation of Fancy Favors.

You should have arrived by way of Amy. If you just popped in for a visit today, or you get lost along the way, head on over to the DeNami Blog for a complete list of today's participants.

I have several pictures to share with you today, so lets get started ...

I won some Glassine Bags from SMR Stickers earlier this year, and decided to spruce up the Large Bag for today's Blog Hop. Using Stazon Ink in Blazing Red & Jet Black I created this design using the Decorative Flourish (J133), the Three Line Border (N128), and some Bubblegum Swiss Dot Washi Tape from Doodlebug Designs. After stamping the images I used a heat gun to set the ink.

This is the treat you will find inside the bag that I picked up at Lovin' Oven Bakery.

I used some double-sided tape to seal the bag, and then stapled the flag I created with the Sending you Sunshine Sentiment (F152).

A closer look at the flag ...

Details about the Fancy Favors Blog Hop ...
The hop starts today April 14th at 6:00 AM PST, and you will have until
Monday, April 15th at 11:59 PM PST to leave a comment on each participants Blog.

Why leave a comment you ask? Well ... there are some prizes being offered to the DeNami On-Line Store. Prizes, you say? Yep! Three (3) $20.00 Gift Certificates will be handed out ... (1) Gift Certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible), and ... (2) Gift Certificates to TWO people who leave comments along the hop! Awesome, right!

Your next stop today is ... Wendy. Before you leave, remember to leave a comment for your chance to win one of the Gift Certificates!

Thank you for hopping along with us this fine day!

Until next time ... Enjoy!
