Wish Big Journal Card ...

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing a Journal Card that I created for my 6x8 Snap Binder.

At one time I used to scrapbook using Creative Memories products, and that fell on the wayside as work and family life took precedence. I really want to finish scrapbooking our family photo's, and now that I'm a stay-at-home mom ... what better time to start. I've been eyeing all the new binder(s) available for scrapbooking, which is so much more up my alley that I finally gave in and purchased a 6x8 Snap Binder in pink. Instead of starting where I left off, I am going backwards starting with my daughter's 21st Birthday this year.

To get myself started I pulled out the NEW Wish Big stamp set to decorate a Journal card. I stamped the "Wish Big" sentiment, and the stand alone present several times on the card, and then again on white cardstock. A Colored Clear Star Pen was used on the open spaces of the sentiment on the card, and after coloring the extra's with Copic Markers I paper-pieced the candles and presents. Yellow Stickles was used on the candle flame. Final add was the "Party Time" sentiment.

Here is the final page put together. One down and many more to go.

I used some of my old Creative Memories stickers, and a Celebration Vellum Quote to finish the page. I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps that we have to offer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Hello ...

Good morning! Can you believe July is just about over! The Summer is just flying by so quickly! Katie goes back to school in 4-wks, and it's her last year in the Transition Program at school. Yikes! I'm really not ready for that. Enough about me! I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you today, and it looks like Summer YUM.

Our Sponsors this week are ... Milk N Coffee Digital Stamps and Wings & Willow

My card features the adorable Charlotte & Butterfly by Milk N Coffee Digital Stamps that was colored with my Copic Markers, and the sky and ground was created with Distress Inks. The sentiment and decorative borders are from SRM Stickers.

My design for today's card is based on a sketch I think is from Operation Write Home. For the life of me I can't remember which one it is. ;o(

Hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to see how the Designer's used the Photo for this weeks challenge, then share your creations with us for a chance to win one of two prizes.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Christmas in July ...

Good morning. I have a couple of Challenges that Sassy Studio Designs is Sponsoring to share with you today.  I combined the challenges to make one (1) card ...

Crafting By Designs ~ Anything Goes with a Twist, Christmas in July
and
Penny's Paper Crafty ~ Bling it On

I pulled out Katniss Girl of Fire Sassy today's project. I really love Katniss' dress and wanted to try something new. After coloring Katniss with my Copic Markers I decided to add some chalk to her dress to create more highlights. I like the way this looks and plan to use chalks more often on my designs.

Make sure you hop on over to the Crafting By Designs and Penny's Paper Crafty for all of the details about their challenges, and then upload your creations for a chance to win some awesome Sassy Studio Designs images for your self.

Beautiful ...

Popping in to share what I created for the Unity CHA - Creative [party] Here All [week] - Creative Color Contest.

Unity gave us an image and sentiment from the June 2013 KOTM (Love the Little Things) to work with. Since I have this particular KOTM I used the actual stamps instead.

Once I stamped the image, several times, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I colored each flower and the leaves with my Copic Markers and cut them out. I then stamped the image again, shaded the image with Cool Grays, and then proceeded to paper-piece the layers with a variety of adhesive. Since I used very dark colors I went over the dots with a Clear Star, and used Colored Clear Star pens to go over the other flourishes and the net.

Head on over to the Unity Blog for all of the Party details.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Bonjour! ...

Good morning! It's Monday and that means a NEW Love to Create Challenge starts today!

Our Sponsor this week is ... Stamp Annie*Thing

All of the LTC Designers are playing with the Ooh La La stamp set this week. I colored Brittany with my Copic Markers and cut her out for my CAS card. This card looks like it was so simple to create, but in all honesty it took me 2-hrs. I had so many fancy ideas in my head that just wasn't working so I went with my CAS design. She really pops off of the background colors I used, and I'm loving how it turned out.

We have two (2) Guest Designer's this week, and all of the Designer's did an amazing job creating their projects with the Ooh La La stamp set. Make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog and check them out, and then share your Hugs & Kisses creations with us this week for a chance to WIN your very own Ooh La La stamp set.

The past week has been crazy HOT and HUMID here in Northern Illinois. So I hope that those of you that are dealing with this crazy heat wave are staying cool, and drinking lots of liquid to stay hydrated, and safe.

Thinking of You ...

During the week I used some of my downtime while Katie was at camp to create a card for FUN to enter two challenges.

This adorable girl is called Gracie by StampArt Design by Kathryne. I printed two copies, colored Gracie and the butterfly on one, and the fence on the other with my Copic Markers. Once I was done coloring I cut out each piece, and layered them back together on my design.

Here's a side view of my card that shows the fence is flat on the bottom and that the top rail is popped up. This makes it look like Gracie is truly sitting on the fence. I probably didn't need to separate the images, but that just how I work.

Distress Inks were used to create the sky and the sand behind the image. Extra butterflies were added along the bottom of the fence after I added my design to the decorated base.

Now for the challenges I mentioned before. My design is based on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #215, and Whimsy Stamps Challenge #61 Ribbon & Lace.

I hope you are all having a marvelous weekend!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Just Cards Online Class ...

Back in June I signed up for the Just Cards Online Class by Cindy Blancett. It was an interesting class, and took longer than the scheduled 5-days due to personal issues that Cindy was dealing with.

Now that the class is over, and I'm caught up with Design Team work for the month, I have time share what I created. I won't go into a lot of details about each project, but I will be sharing the products I used to create them.

Day 1, Repeat Images
Challenge: CASE one of the cards Cindy created
Stamps: CAS-ual Friday's Breath & Avocado Arts Future So Bright
Paper: Neenah Solar White 80# & Bazzill Black cardstock
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, and AMS Ocean, Burano, Sky, Orange, Rialto & Lido Ink

Day 2, Fun Folds
Challenge: Create your own Fun Fold card

Stamps: A Muse Studio Hey Cupcake, Stamp Annie*Thing Party in the USA,
Lawn Fawn Wuinn's 123's, Papertry Ink Think Big Favorites #24
Paper: Papertry Ink Soft Stone, Bazzill Black & Teal, My Mind's Eye Happy Day DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Xyron Sticker Maker, Papertry Ink Stars Impression Plate, Nestabilities Square Dies

Day 3, Backgrounds & Masking
NO Challenge for this one, but I made my own Background/DP with stamps
Stamps: A Muse Studio Wild Rose, Papertry Ink Boutique Border - Thanks
Paper: Papertry Ink White
Ink: A Muse Studio Lichen, Grass, Cherry
Other: A Muse Studio Cherry Ribbon

Day 4, Banners & Tags
Challenge: Make a project with a Banner or Tag
Stamps: Avocado Arts Life's An Adventure
Paper: Papertry Ink White & Kraft
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Webster's Pages Designer Trim

Day 5, One Stamp Set - Three Cards
No Challenge for this one, but I went ahead and created cards based on the theme of the class
Stamps: Papertry Ink Round Repeats Text Style, A Muse Studio Hand Scripted
Paper: Papertry Ink White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holts Distress Inks - London Fog, Bahama Blue & Paris Dusk

The hardest part about this class is that there are two locations for the class, and I'm the only person who uploaded projects to the Gallery for Cindy's new site. Therefore, I can't see what the other individuals made for the class.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my creations!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Hippity Hoppity ...

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing this Easter card. Now, I normally wouldn't be sharing an Easter card at this time of year, but my mojo is sorta so-so these days. One minute I am all on, and the next minute I'm struggling. I figured it would be a good time to share a card I submitted for publication that didn't get picked up. So here goes ...

I absolutely love this bunny from the Bunny Hugs to You stamp set. You can either have a Girlie Bunny or a Masculine Bunny, and I obviously went Girlie with this one. I used the repetitive technique to create motion for her. The final image was colored with Copic Markers, and I paper-pieced the inside of the ears, the hair bow and her skirt.

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps that we have to offer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Going Retro Photo Easel Frame ...

This is my 2nd post today so please scroll down for
the NEW Love to Create Challenge, and if you are
hopping along the DeNami Summer Splash Blog Hop go HERE.

***************************************

It's time for a NEW Sassy Studio Designs Progressive Challenge over in our Paper Craft Planet Group. If you played along with the SECOND Challenge then check your email for the Sock Hop Sweetie 2 as our way of saying "Thank You" for participating in Challenge #2.

I have to say it was truly amazing to see how many of you created projects with all three (3) of our Patriotic Sassy images last month! Awesome JOB!

Instead of making a card this month I decided to make a Photo Easel Frame for this beauty. I colored Sock Hop Sweetie 2 with my Copic Markers, and cut her out. The background that looks like DP is actually created with stamps from Papertry Ink called Tiny Triangles Mini. Of course after I finished my project I remembered that I have the coordinating die plate for this stamp set. I'll have to pull it out again for another project. The Birthday sentiment in the center of the frame is popped up with Removable Glue Dots & 3D Foam Squares. This way they can just take off the sentiment, and drop in a picture of their choice.

My picture choice for this post is Elvis Presley!

I'm looking forward to seeing your creations for our Birthday Theme Challenge! Make sure you head on over to the PCP Sassy Group for all the details about the Challenge, and how you can join in the FUN!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

May you dance with fairies ...

Good morning! If you are here for the DeNami Summer Splash Blog Hop, please scroll down or go here. For today, I have a new Love to Create Challenge to share with you.

Our Sponsor this week is Whoopsi Daisy

Whoopsi Daisy gave the DT Team two Sheets to create our projects for this week. I chose to use Sheet #441-1. The fairy is so adorable, and was super fun to color. I'll be truthful and tell you that once she was colored I ran into a road block. When that happens I hop around and look at different sketches for inspiration. I decided to use Deconstructed Sketch #108 for my design this week.

Our Love to Create Challenge Blog received a make-over last week, and it's looks awesome. So make sure you hop on over to the Blog to see our NEW Look, check out the projects the rest of our Designers created, and then share your Fairy Tale or Fantasy projects with us.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Here's a closer look at two of the cards ...

There are a total of eight cards, two of each color, and for each color I used both of the sentiments referenced above. These cards are so bright and cheerful, and they are perfect for Operation Write Home. The last step was to add some liquid pearls near the center of the flowers.

My design is based on the Freshly Made Sketch #94.

Taco Night ...

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing an Invitation I made.

I made a "Taco Night" invitation using some of the stamps from the One Cool Hombre stamp set.  First step was to stamp and color the yummy food, and cut the pieces out. Next was the hard part. I made several mistakes while creating this frame with the border stamp, a ruler, and a thin black marker. So I pulled out my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes where the circles are in the stamp, and a Fingertip Blade was used to cut out the rectangles in the design. Once the frame was complete, I layered it on the background and the cardbase, and then I added the yummy food in the center with the sentiment.

Here's a look at the One Cool Hombre stamp set.

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps that we have to offer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Make a Wish ...

Good morning! I hope you all had a marvelous holiday weekend. I have a new Love to Create Challenge to share with you this morning.

(let's see some Ribbon & Bling on your creations this week)

Our Sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs

I used the lovely My Fair Lady for today's card. She's classic and so beautifully perfect for ribbon and bling. I colored her with my trusty Copic Markers, cut her out to place on my design based on the Sketch N Stash Challenge #117. The decorative ribbon I used was picked up at a craft fair last Fall, and I layered it on the corners. The sentiment is from SRM Fancy Sticker Sentiments #55001 Birthday.

I encourage you to hop on over to the Love to Create Challenge Blog to see the amazing creations by the rest of the Designers, and then get crafty and share your creations with us.

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing my very Patriotic Card that I created using Rose who is so proud to be a part of the upcoming 4th of July Celebrations.

Rose is from the Party in the USA stamp set.  I colored Rose with my Copic Markers, cut here out and put her on the side. I decided to use an Operation Write Home Sketch (#178) since that is where my card will be going. Once a week OWH provides sketches for card makers to use for making cards that are sent to our troops.

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps that we have to offer.

If you would like more information about Operation Write Home click here to head on over to their blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

With Sympathy for your loss ...

Good morning! Can you believe it's July 1st? Summer came in with a bang and it's flying by so fast. My weekend was filled with FUN! I attended the Basic & Intermediate Certification classes for Copic Markers this weekend and am now Certified! I can't wait until the Advanced Certification class comes to town. I then spent my Sunday organizing all of my Copic Markers, then ordering refills and a couple new markers. Enough about me, let's get back to our regularly scheduled program.

or if they have lost someone special in their lives)

Our Sponsors this week are ... Bugaboo & Beccy's Place

I don't like making Condolence cards but this beautiful Bird on a Wire digi-stamp from Beccy's Place inspired me to create one. I colored the stamp with my Copic Markers, and left it CAS by popping it up with the different layers, and adding the sentiment.

I hope my post today has inspired you to share your projects this weeks over at the Love to Create Challenge Blog.

Before I end my post today, I want to wish my Canadian friends a safe and FUN Canada Day.

Until next time ... Enjoy!
