Mini Driver ...

I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a card I created with the lovely Mini Driver from the Marika Collins Collection.

This super FUN image is perfect for congratulating the newest driver in the family, or provide encouragement, or to congratulate them on getting a new car. I used my Copic Markers for coloring the image and signs, and Distress Ink for the background behind the image.

One of my nieces will be getting her license this Summer so I decided to create a card to congratulate her. It won't be long before she is cruising along with her friends in her own car. I know that is what she is hoping for. :o)

The design for my card was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch #212.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Happy Easter ...

Good morning! It's Monday morning and it feels like Spring has decided to not stay in Northern IL. Temps are only going to be in the mid-30's during the day. UGH!!! I'm super tired of mother nature playing with us. :o(

Enough of that. I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you today.

This adorable image is called Buttercup and I absolutely love it! She was colored with Copic Markers and a White Gelly Roll Pen was used to add the polka dots on her outfit. Distress Inks were used for the grass and sky. The background was created with a Heidi Swapp pencil that I recently picked up at Michael's. I used a dauber and pigment ink and then applied the pigment ink around the edges. To finish off the card I added my sentiment and White Pearls around the image.

I used 2-lines for My Bingo
~ Pink, Die Cut & Ribbon (the sparkle) and Pink, Pearls & Sparkle ~

I was inspired to add the Polka Dots by the Paper Crafting Journey Photo Inspiration Challenge.

The rest of the designers created some truly amazing projects to inspire you this week so make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check them out, and then I hope you share your project with us!

Thank you ...

This is my 2nd post today ... please scroll down for my YNS FUN Friday Post.

I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a card I created with the lovely NEW Littlest Angel (without wings) ~ Mother from the Crissy's Digi's Collection.

I recently found out that I'm going to be a Grandmother in September. This will be my first grandchild and I'm over the moon excited about what the future holds for all of us. Knowing that my son and his wife will be needing a large quantity of Thank You cards, I just had to have this beautiful image to create cards for them.

Since we don't know if a girl or boy will be arriving, I colored the image with my Copic Markers and then scanned it into my computer; both in color and gray-scale. I then opened MS Word, created an A1 card, inserted the image and my watermark. Next step was to add the Oval Circle around the image, and print the card. It took me a couple tries to get it aligned properly and I absolutely love how it turned out. The Thank You sentiment was added with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Here is the card with my colored image ...

I showed the card to my husband and he said it looks very dramatic! I "Love" that he loved the card, and that I can mass-produce the card at any time.

I'm entering my card into the CAS on Sunday Challenge #29 ~ One Layer Wonder.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

YNS FUN Friday Challenge #10 ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! Spring has arrived here in Northern IL, and we had such a beautiful day yesterday that I opened up some windows to get some fresh air in the house. Speaking of Spring, check out the card I created for the YNS FUN Friday Challenge #10

This lovely image is called Happy Day! She brings a smile to my face in her bright cheerful Spring-like colors. Copic Markers were use to color her and the yummy birthday cake she's carrying. I used a Rose Star Gelly Roll Pen on the candles, Liquid Pearls were added to the center of each flower, and distress ink was applied to the edges. The sentiment is part of the YNS Mini Greetings (clear set).

My design for today's card is based on the Tuesday Morning Sketch #241.

My colors were inspired by this months YNS FUN Friday Inspirational Photo ... I pulled out the yellow, orange, greens, pinks, and purple. Here is a look at the YNS FUN Friday Challenge #10 Inspirational Photo and Sketch.

Party time ...

Good morning! It's Monday morning and time for a NEW Love to Create Challenge.

Our Sponsor for this weeks Challenge
 are ...
Di's Digi Downloads and Milk Coffee

This lovely lady is called Tiffany Partying by Milk Coffee. I was going for Clean & Simple and Classy & Elegant when I created today's card. There are so many possibilities for sentiments that would go perfectly with this beauty but I chose not to use one. This way I can add any sentiment on the inside when I send my card off.

Here is a closer look at Tiffany Partying ... I used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on her dress and necklace, but it doesn't show in the photo. I wish you could see how her dress shimmers.

Hello Friend ...

Hey there. Just popping in to share a card I created today for the FTHS Stamp of the Month Challenge and FTHS i{heart}sketch #57 with a twist.

This super FUN image from FTHS is called Hamlet PigWit Think Spring which I got for FREE at the beginning of the month. Copic Markers were used to color the image, and I used one of the sentiments that come with the image.

The twist that is part of the i{heart}sketch #57 is Dry Embossing. It's a little hard to see, so here is a closer look that shows the embossing. I used the Cuttlebug Pinking Stitch Border at the top, and just the stitching along the bottom.

Now for a look at the i{heart}sketch #57 ...

My daughter's 22nd birthday is next month so I decided to make a birthday card for her since she absolutely loves horses. The birthday sentiment is part of the YNS Mini Greeting (clear set) which I cut out with one of the many dies you will find in the YNS Pocket Die Set. I also used one of the dies in the set to create the bottom border.

My card was inspired by this months YNS March Sketch.
