I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a project
featuring the gorgeous NEW Mothers Heart from Crissy's Digi's.

I really wasn't sure what I would put in the "window" until
I saw the gorgeous Mothers Heart image.

This is a baby shower gift for a very special couple in my life!
~ my son Nick and his wife Lauren ~

I've mentioned before that I'm going to be a grandmother in the Fall.
We recently found out that they are having a "boy"!
I am SO excited and happy for them!

I colored the blanket surrounding the hands and feet for a boy,
and inserted the image in the Album window.

Missing You ...

Good morning and happy Friday. I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a card I created with the lovely NEW Georgie from the Marika Collins Collection.

When I saw Georgie I knew I just had to put my Copic Markers to work on this lovely. I need a couple more cards to fill up my box for Operation Write Home, and knew that Georgie would be perfect for the them. The sentiment is one of many stamps in the Clearly Simple Sentiments Set.

I only used a portion of Georgie; here is a closer look.
Copics: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20 (skin); YR000, YR31, YR14, E09 (hair)
BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18 (pants/flowers/eyes); YR04, YR07, YR09 (shirt/belt/lips)
E30, E33, E35, E37 (guitar)

After coloring Georgie I went looking for a sketch to play along with, and found this one over at Freshly Made Sketches Challenges.

Freshly Made Sketch #136

I flipped the sketch and went landscape with my interpretation of the sketch, and am entering today's card into the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #136.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Monochromatic Fun ...

Good evening. I'm popping in to share a monochromatic card I created with the beautiful Hydrangea Fairy 2 by Aurora Wings.

The current challenge over at the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog is Monochromatic. So when I colored up Hydrangea Fairy 2 I decided to try my hand at using the same colors for her hair and skin. A little different from my norm, but I actually love how the image turned out. For the wings I combined colors from the flowers and hair/skin and applied a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to add some shimmer.

My design is pretty CAS as I just framed Hydrangea Fairy 2 with coordinating cardstock, and added some enamel dots.

Copics: E81, E84, E87, E89 (hair/skin) and R20 (cheeks)
E93, E95, E97 & E99 (flowers/background)

This will be one awesome add to my collection of personal note cards!

Until Next time ... Enjoy!

The "Theme" for this month
is
Use 2 OR more die cuts

Today's card features the lovely NEW Daisy by Marika Collins.I colored Daisy with my Copic Markers and used Nestabilities Oval Dies to cut her out and the black background she's layered on. Daisy's dress and head scarf were fussy cut out and paper-pieced on the image.

Copics: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20 (skin)
YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, E99 (clothes)
E33, E25, E37 & E39 (hair)

The background was created with Papertrey Ink's Cover Plate Triangles Die which I cut out of black cardstock which was layered on orange cardstock, and then I put the part of the black triangles back in the cut to create my design. A couple of long flags were created with Washi Tape, at which time I layered Daisy on my design. Final step was to add pearls to my design.

Make sure you head on over to Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenges for all the details on how to join in the FUN, and check out what the rest of the designers created to inspire you.

Good morning! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today and the card I created features the lovely Digital Stamp called Flower Girl Vanessa!

Flower Girl Vanessa is such a beautiful young lady. She is all dressed up, ready to do her important job and celebrate. I really wanted to create a card with this image, and plan on printing her again for when I finally scrapbook my son's wedding pictures. I will try and match the color of my daughter Katie's dress next time. Katie was a Jr Bridesmaid at my son's wedding and this image will be perfect for my scrapbook pages. I didn't have the patience to get it done now. LOL!

Flower Girl Vanessa was colored with my Copic Markers,
fussy cut out, and added to my design.

Hello Friend ...

Our Sponsor this week is ... Sassy Studio Designs

I used one of my all time favorite stamps from Sassy Studio Designs
 - "Oz Sassy" from Oz the Great and Powerful Collection

I'm not one for adding dimension to my cards with big flowers. I either use design paper, stamps or occasionally small flowers, but for today's challenge I did a lot of masking to add the beautiful flowers and leaves to my design with rubber stamps. Coloring was done with my trusty Copic Markers. Prior to attaching my scene to the card base I applied Distress Ink around the edges.

Copics: E000, E04, E11, E21, E00, R20 (skin)
YR21, YR12, YR14, E09 (hair/eyes)
BV20, BV23, BV27, BV29 (suit/top hat)
V000, V01, V04, V06, V09 (vest/bow/flowers)

The rest of the designers created some truly amazing projects to inspire you this week so make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check them out, and then I hope you share your project with us!

Sunflowerfield Designs ...

Good morning. It's time for a New Sunflowerfield Monthly Challenge.

This month the Theme is ...Vintage / Shabby Chic / Rustic

I went for a Vintage look for the May Digital Stamp designed by Vanja (the Owner). I colored May with my Copic Markers, and added pearls to the center of the red flowers. Various Distress Inks were used for the design paper and the flowers that are normally white. Final step was to apply the washi tape on the one side and distress all of the others.

My design was inspired by the current Tuesday Morning Sketches #247.

Hop on over to the Sunflowerfield Blog for all the details about the Challenge, and to see the other lovely projects created to inspire you.
