Luna ...

Good evening! I'm popping in to share a card I created with
the adorable Luna by Polka Doodles

During the celebrations this weekend over at Kit and Clouder's FB Group
you have a chance to get this adorable girl for FREE to use for
the Colouring Competition they are having. Now I bought
mine before the celebration, and I'm okay with that.

Luna was colored with my Copic Markers and fussy cut out.
I pulled the colors from her outfit to create my design
I switched the layers in the sketch for my
card as it worked better with the stamp.

This card will heading to Operation Write Home
so a spot was left under the Twine so that a
sentiment can be added by the sender.
I also added a cream colored liner
on the inside, both sides, so
there is a lot of room
to write home.

XO ...

Good evening. I have a card to share with you this
evening that I created for several challenges.

This beautiful stamp is called The Gift ~ Mer-Boy Giving Mer-Girl a Pearl

CopicMarkers to color the couple. On the second copy I used
Faber-Castell Gelatos to create the background and
add the bubbles. Once that part was dry, I paper
pieced both of the Mer-kids to the background,
and layered it on my design based on

Thank you ...

Good evening! Hope you are having an awesome week.

The card I'm about to share is very different for me ... no markers were used.
Say what! Yup, not one Copic Marker touched my card.

I tried a new technique this week for the

I have a small collection of Papertry Ink products, and every week I tell
myself that I'm going to create a project for the Papertry Ink Challenge. Then
the week passes by and I miss the deadline. Not this week! I was determined to
try a new technique! So I headed off in search of Embossing Paste. I tried
Michael's and Hobby Lobby and neither carried it. So I went to the
only local craft store in search of Embossing Paste, and they
had some (insert smiley face)

I only have the one (1) Die from Papertry Ink that I thought would work for this challenge, and it's called Cover Plate: Triangles Die

I cut out three (3) pieces of the die as instructed in the video tutorial and
glued them together, then mixed the Embossing Paste with three different
inks. I covered the whole plate with the Embossing Plate mixture working
from each side with the same color combination. Once done I removed
the die and let it sit overnight. Only one side turned out really nice
so I cut my background in half. More practice is needed.

My 3-D sentiment was created by cutting four (4) copies of the
Wonderful Words: Thank You Die and gluing them together.

Here is a picture of the Embossing Paste and Inks that were used.

I'm not sure if this is the correct Embossing Paste for this technique, but I had
fun making the card. I'm sure I will be trying this technique again soon.

I appreciate you stopping by ...
Until next time ... Enjoy!

and
our Sponsor is ...
The Stamping Chef

This lovely lady is called Sammy Save Me and she is one of many

When I saw Sammy visions of this show popped into my head.

There is always a bunch of people on the beach having fun in Bay Watch. That is
until the tide turns and someone needs saving.

Copic Markers were use to color the image, and I fussy cut Sammy and
added her to my background created with stamps, distress inks and my much
loved Big Splash Border Die.

My New Craft Room ...

Good morning, and Happy Friday!

I have a FUN post to share with you today.

When we replaced our kitchen counter-tops in the Spring we kept
two (2) of the sections to be used in our basement.

After a much needed family vacation, the hubby and I bought some
unfinished kitchen cabinets and just put those counter-tops to use.

We created a Craft Room inside my laundry room.

I absolutely LOVE my new Craft Room and wanted to share my
new digs with you, but first how about a look at my old Crafting area.

For more pictures of how the old Crafting area looked, go here.

This is what the old area looks like now ...

I have a LOT of Crafty stuff so I kept items that are not used daily out here.

My daughter and husband are very happy to have the pool table open again.

Now it's time to share some pictures of my New Craft Room!

You can see my ironing board, the hampers I use to separate the
clothes in, and part of a drying rack on the right.
You can also see the dryer on the left in the front.

I'm so loving my New Craft Room.
I'm still getting organized as I keep finding better, more
convenient ways to organize my stuff in here.

It's been loads of FUN!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you enjoyed this little tour of my Craft Room.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Smart Samantha Altered Notebook ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today.
Our "Theme" this month is Back-to-School.

When I saw the NEW Smart Samantha I knew she would be perfect for a Back-to-School project. I wasn't sure what I would use her for, so I just got my Copic Markers out and colored her.

I always make something school-related for my nieces birthday. So this year I decided to alter a 5" x 7" Notebook, and turned it into a Home-Work Notebook.

Once I decided on my project, I fussy cut Smart Samantha and put her on the side. I found an awesome sketch over at Moving Along with The Times Challenge Blog, and then proceeded to pull all of my material out.

(1) 5" x 7" Office Max Notebook
AMS School Lined & Navy Petite Polka Dot cardstock
My New Favorite Things Die's
A good old fashioned hole punch.
SRM Express Yourself #42025 High School Stickers
SRM We've Got Your Border #57004 Thank You Stickers

To get the School Lined cardstock to go thru the edge of the Spiral, I lined up the paper and added some pencil marks, used a ruler to get the depth, and then proceeded to use a hole punch on the marks. Score-Tape was used to apply the School Lined cardstock with Tombow Multi-Liquid Clear Glue on the spiraled edge.
To create the walkway I used a MFT Retro Squares Die as a my template, applied Distress Ink with a dauber, and then used more Distress Ink to create the sky background.

The 4 stickers going down the right side from the SRM H.S. set are perfect to provide encouragement for a young lady. After layering all the pieces together I added the SRM Border Sticker along the top and bottom of the Notebook, and then added the Home-Work sticker which was added to some School Lined cardstock and cut down to size.

Here's a closer look at Smart Samantha

HB2U ...

Good evening! I'm really excited to share my card that features the

If you haven't joined Artbymiran's Facebook Members Only Page,
now is the time. Just head on over to the
Arbymiran Facebook Page and "ask" to join!

This lovely lady is called Jacque with Lily. Jacque was colored with
my Copic Markers, and I decided to color her outfit and the Lily in Pink.
Isn't she beautiful!

I just recently moved my Craft Room and will share pictures soon.
During that move/re-organization I found some much neglected papers from
Fancy Pants called Time for Spring. The pearls in her hair decoration is another
find ~ mini pearls from Recollections that is one of the first packages of
pearls I ever bought. I also used some of my newest items that I got from
MFT ~ the Faux Crochet Border Die and the Tag Die Set that
I got for Free with my order.

Here's a closer look at this beauty!

This image will not be available in the store, and is only available
