Love ...

Good morning. Last night I finally got out my Copic Markers for a bit of coloring and creating just for FUN! Actually, I had several challenges in mind before I started. So here goes ...

This lovely lady is called Penny in Love from Make it Crafty. As stated above, Copic Markers were my medium for coloring this beauty. I applied some distress ink around Penny to add a little color around her.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11 & E21 (skin); E23, E25, E27, E29 & Y21 (hair);
RV00, RV13, RV17 & RV19 (top/flower/hearts);  G00, G14, G17 & G19 (stem);
C3, C2, C1, C00 & 0 (cast shadow)

Once she was colored up I got out my Classic Hearts die to create the window so I could make a shaker card. I've never made a shaker card as I really don't like bulky cards for mailing, so I hopped over to YouTube earlier in the week for ideas/instructions on how to proceed. I saw that you could make "flat" shaker cards and I was like "YEAH". I don't own any sequins so I decided to use red, white and silver very fine glitter for the shaker part of my card. The final step was to adhere my design my my cardbase.

When I bought her I knew that I would be making a card for my darling husband. As I was laying down to sleep last night something was bothering my about my card. It took me a while, but I finally figured it out. I placed the lines in the wrong spot. UGH! It's a good thing that he probably won't notice my oops.
