You're Awesome ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Art by Miran Blog today. Our "Theme" for the month of April is "Monochromatic".

This lovely is called Soccer Player Jane! I chose this image before knowing what the "Theme" was for April. That being said, I always commit to the image that I choose to work with. I had some issues with her hair and face, but overall I'm happy with the final product. I went with a Black/White/Red color combination.

Happy Easter ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today.

Lili Coloring Easter Eggs is such a sweet image. She was really fun to color, and a bit of a challenge ... especially the smaller sections. I used my trusty Copic Markers coloring the image, and since I paper-pieced Lili on top of the rock I decided to apply various distress inks with a dauber to create the sky and ground shading. The Happy Easter Banner was printed 2x's, fussy cut and layered together with 3D foam tape. My layout was inspired by Friday Sketch Challenge #91 (shown below)

Here is a side view to show the dimension I added.

House of Cards March Challenge ...

Good Morning! Happy Super Bowl Sunday to all of you!

It's the 1st of the month, so I have a new House of Cards challenge to share with you!

For the month of March, we would love to see Enamel Dots on your project!

My nephew's birthday is fast approaching so I made a masculine birthday card for this months challenge.

I pulled out old stamp set from A Muse Studio's called Enjoy the Ride. After stamping the bike, I added some distress ink along the bottom to represent a bike path, and added the sentiments. I added black enamel dots to the center of the bike wheels, and then in the two corners. My design was inspired by the SSW2 Challenge #201.

Make sure you hop on over to the House of Cards Challenge Blog for all of the details for entering our Monthly Challenges, and for some FUN Tutorials on how to make your own Enamel Dots! I can't wait to see what inspires you this month!
