You're on my Mind ...

Good morning! I'm over on the GI Blog sharing a A1 Note Card featuring some of the stamps available from Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card features the lovely Ocean Dreams (F366) and On My Mind Sentiment (D498). Copic Markers were used to color Ocean Dreams with a bit of distress ink for the sky, and your panel is complete. I went with bright cheerful colors for the background.

I really love the combination of these two stamps, and they are perfect for letting a friend or loved one know that they are On Your Mind.

Here's a closer look at the Ocean Dreams ...

You're Not Old ...

Good morning! I'm over on the GI Blog sharing a FUN card featuring some of the stamps available from Great Impressions Stamps.

When I saw the NEW January Stamp featuring Vera & Mable Dancing the Charleston (J122) I just couldn't resist them. Vera & Mable are having so much fun, and I truly had an awesome time giving them some color with my Copic Markers. Distress Ink was applied around the lovely ladies, Glossy Accents was applied to the lenses of each of the ladies glasses, and Liquid Pearls was used for the center of the flowers and the necklace. The Retro Sentiment (C493) is such an awesome sentiment and perfect for these lovely ladies!

Special Thanks ...

Good morning! I'm over on the GI Blog sharing a lovely Thank You card featuring one of the stamps available from Great Impressions Stamps.

I love when you get a beautiful image and sentiment together in one stamp, so I couldn't resist picking up the Spring Special Thanks (G364) to create with. Copic Markers were used to color the image, a bit of distress ink around the flowers, and White Opal Liquid Pearls for the center of the flowers. Create a background and pop on your panel for a beautiful card.

You can never have enough Thank You cards in your stash, and I really love how quick and easy it is to create a work of art with this stamp.

Fun Coffee Cup ...

Good morning! I'm sharing a fun birthday card featuring some of the new January stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

We have the super cool Fun Coffee Cup (H278) along with the Triple Birthday Wish Sentiment (D513). A lot of fussy cutting and paper-piecing went into creating my Coffee Cup. The only coloring involved was the red and blue stripes on the straw.

The background was created with the same DP I used for the Fun Coffee Cup, added some twine I received in a swap along with a chipboard button, and layered the background on my Kraft card. 3D foam squares were used to add the Fun Coffee Cup, added some bling for sprinkles and over the the holes in the scalloped edging of the cup.

Here's a closer look at the Fun Coffee Cup and Triple Birthday Wish Sentiment ...

I have quite a few birthday's coming up so I kept my card CAS for easy mailing. As you can see, I stamped part of the Coffee Cup on the envelope.

Great Impressions January Challenge ...

Good morning! We have a new Challenge starting today over at the Great Impressions Blog, and I am excited to be joining the Great Impressions DT for another term. This month our challenge is called "Lovey Dovey" ... and we would love to see your Valentine and/or Bird Projects.

My card features the adorable All a Flutter Lottie (F541) and the coordinating A Ton Sentiment (B238). I stamped the adorable Lottie two times ... one for coloring with my Copic Markers and the other for my panel. After adding Lottie to my panel, I used a Heidi Swapp Stencil to add the hearts with a dauber and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I then put a couple Post-it Notes near the bottom of Lottie, applied Antique Linen & Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give her something to sit on, and then added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create the sky.

Lottie was then paper-pieced over the stamped image on the panel, along with the 3 hearts above her and the 1 in the sentiment. Final steps was to apply the Victorian Velvet Distress Ink around the edge of the panel, and layer said panel with dimensional tape to my card base.

Copics: C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C5 &R000

Valentine Photo Album ...

About 2-years ago I came across a Tutorial to make a Photo Album using envelopes, and I finally gave it a try. The envelopes I used are larger than those depicted in the Tutorial, so I made some adjustments to take the size into account.

Once the album was put together it was time to decorate. I used Flavours Gourmet Chili Arbol (Red) cardstockBlack cardstockCrate Paper Hello Love 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some stickers and bling from my stash.

I made panel(s) that fit into each of the envelopes. The first 2-photo's below show the pages with the panel tucked and partially out. I made a two (2) panels for writing your memories on, and three (3) panels for adding more photos.

This Photo Album was really easy to make. It took me about 4-hours, start to finish, to create this lovely album and I'm really looking forward to filling it up.

All of the A7 Envelopes are on Sale for the month of January so it's the perfect time to stock up, and you are at the CCS Store make sure you check out the NEW 6"x6" Cardstock Paper Pads that we now carry!

Happy Birthday ...

Good morning and Happy New Year! It's the first of the month, and that means it's time for a New Challenge over at the House of CardsThis month's Challenge is a Embossing and/or Color Challenge.

My card features both aspects of the challenge ... Embossing and some of the Colors.

My nephew turns 18 this month, so he was my inspiration for today's card. I pulled out some Hunter Green cardstock, embossed it with my Cuttlebug Cane Back Chair Embossing Folder, and then used one of my Nestabilities Long Classic Rectangular Dies in the center of the panel. After adhering the panel to my Spearmint A2 Panel I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Brown Ink, and added the cream colored enamel dots.

Clean and Simple for a young man who is not into fussy cards, and I just love how the sentiment pops!

Make sure you hop on over to the House of Cards Challenge Blog for all of the details for entering our Monthly Challenge. I can't wait to see what inspires you this month!
