Polar Bears ...

Good afternoon. I created a Holiday card to share today that was inspired by the Sunday Stamps Challenge #138 ~ Two Sides that features stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

I pulled out the adorable Polar Bears (659-07) for today's card. Using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink I stamped these adorable bears on RN Watercolor Paper. I applied a couple Marvy LePlume Markers to my palette and colored the image with a paint brush and water. I stamped the small bear a second time to paper-piece him for a 3D effect.

Scor-Tape was used to secure the water-colored image to my DP and cardbase. Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink was applied sporadically around the bears, and Crystal Stickles for the snow. This was so fun to make, and I'm planning on making a set of these for a holiday gift.

Vintage Milk Box ...

Good morning! I have a Fall card to share today that was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch #259 featuring stamp from Great Impressions Stamps.

Using Ranger Coffee Archival Ink I stamped the Vintage Milk Box on watercolor paper. I applied Marvy LePlumme Markers to my palette and used my brush with water to color the image. I created a little shelf under the milk box, cut the image out with my circle die, added Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges, and then distressed the edges with my tool from Tim Holtz. I cut out a couple of stitched rectangle dies, inked the edges and layered them on my inked cardbase. After lining up where I would put the milk box, I stamped the Hello Friend Sentiment with Memento Cocoa Ink. Using 3D Foam Tape I added the milk box. The final step was to add yellow enamel dots to the flowers.

Fall Garden ...

Good morning! I have a Fall card to share today featuring the lovely Fall Garden stamp from Great Impressions Stamps.

I stamped the lovely Fall Garden with Memento Rich Cocoa and color the image with my Copic Markers, leaving the fence uncolored. Antique Linen Distress Ink was applied around the edges of the cut-out image, and the cream colored DP I used. Each section was layered onto Cocoa cardstock and layered together. The final step was to add the three bling along the bottom of the card. Clean and Simple with layers. Today's card was inspired by the Crazy 4 Challenge #358 Sketch.

Merry Christmas ...

Good afternoon! I created a Christmas card to share today that features stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

I really love this Frosty in Small Frame (23-09). It's a great image for creating CAS cards, which I love, or you can pile it on. I stamped Frosty in Small Frame several times, and colored him with my Copic Markers. The hat, scarf and nose where fussy cut from the extra images, and paper-pieced on the main image with a combination of 3D Foam Squares and my Xyron Sticker Maker. Once done, I layered the image on coordinating panels, and added it to my Echo Park Tis The Season DP background on my card. The Merry Christmas Flourish Script Sentiment (657-01) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Red enamel dots were applied to 3 corners, and X-Mas Red Stickles were used for the berries on his hat.

Caroling Penguins ...

Good afternoon! I'm back today with a Christmas/Winter card featuring stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

One of my dear friends loves Penguins and every year I make a holiday card just for her that features Penguins. So, of course I had to get my craft on with these adorable Caroling Penguins (659-08). To get started I stamped the Caroling Penguins 4-times. Copic Markers were used to color the image(s), and then I did some fussy cutting to put these adorable guys in the snow drifts. Distress Inks were used to create the sky background and then I used a variety of 3D Foam Tape and Squares, plus my Xyron Sticker Maker to layered my winter scene together. I applied Crystal Stickles to represent the snow falling from the sky and on the snow drifts. Frosted Lace Stickles was applied to the back penguins hat for a fluffy effect.

Set of Thank You cards ...

Good morning! I'm participating at a Craft Fair this weekend at a local school, and here is one of the projects I created for the sale featuring stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

I pulled out my much loved Elegant Butterflies (J119) along with the Being You Sentiment (D509). Using various inks I created a 1/2-inch panel on the left side of each card and envelope. I then used my Misti to stamp the butterflies and sentiment on each card, and I also added a butterfly to each of the envelopes. Using the Misti allowed my stamping to be identical on all of my cards. Love this piece of equipment.

I've used this technique in the Fall last year on a full size card and I really love the design/layout. Once done with all my stamping I added some enamel dots, and tied the bundle of cards up with some twine.

We all need extra Thank You cards in our stash, and I know that the parents attending this weekends event will be looking for some. I went with Fall colors for my panel, but you can use any seasonal colors with this design.

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Have a Wonderful Day ...

Good morning! With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month today's card is all about that, and features stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

I recently ordered the Have a Wonderful Day Sentiment (F231). I love the sentiment with the butterfly. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this stamp is a perfect match. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink on Strathmore Cold Press Watercolor Paper, and went to work watercoloring the image and background with my Marvy Markers ... #57 Rose Pink, #20 Magenta, and a bit of #75 Sky Blue.

I really love how the image pops against the soft colors.

Halloween is a ...

Good afternoon! I'm back again with another Halloween card featuring stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

I'm featuring the adorable kid dressed as a monster and one of the sentiments from the Halloween Set 3 (475). I stamped this cutie several times, colored the image with my Copic Markers, and did a bit of fussy-cutting to get the 3D effect. Using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a dauber I created ground and sky. I layered the image my CAS background created with Doodlebug Haunted Manor DP. A White Gelly Roll Pen was used for the dots on the monster costume and Glossy Accents were used on the eyes. I added the sentiment to a flag and attached it with my Tim Holtz Tiny Stapler.

Ghostly Friends wishing you a ...

Good morning! It's time for a New Monthly Challenge over at the Great Impressions Blog. This months Challenge is Anything Goes with an Inspiration Photo, and there is an awesome Prize for the Winner.

I think these Ghostly Friends are so adorable. I stamped the image a couple of times, colored them with my Copic Markers, fussy cut them out and layered the middle Ghost to make it 3D. I layered the Ghostly Friends over a Memory Box Sketchy Rings Die, and added it to my card which is covered with Doodlebug Haunted Manor DP. I added some black dots from Queen & Company to two corners.

The Happy Halloween Sentiment was added to the inside of the card. I even have one of the Ghostly Friends peeking out from the side.

I hope you'll check out our Monthly Challenge, and play along. If you use Great Impressions Stamps make sure you also link up to our Customer Gallery.

Southwest Pottery ...

Good morning! It's the first of the month, and that means a New Challenge over at the House of Cards starts today. This month we have a Theme/Color Challenge for you ... Gatefold and/or use the Colors in our Inspiration Photo to create your project this month.

I went with a Gatefold card with a slight twist, mine opens from the top and bottom.

I haven't water-colored in a while, so I pulled out my Art Impression Stamps to create the western scene for today's card. I still need a LOT of practice but I enjoyed playing with the AI Southwest and Roving Rocks stamps.

My sizing is a little off on the flaps that open, but I love how my card turned out.

Here's a look at the card when its open ...
