Hot Hot Hot ...

That describes the past 2-days here in Northern Illinois. We've had 80-degrees, and I'm loving it. I've been working on the landscaping in the front of our house. Unfortunately, those lovely temperatures are not sticking around. Temps will drop down to 40's & 60's, and the storms are a coming. I hope the storms hold off this morning so I can finish up the landscaping. Fingers crossed!

Enough of that ... it's time for a NEW Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenge.

Sassy Studio Designs has so many awesome stamps that feature hats in one form or another. I've had the lovely Mexico Honey from the Small World Honey Collection 1 since last July, and this is my first time inking her up. Crazy right! Mexico Honey inspired me to create a card for Cinco de Mayo rather than the Kentucky Derby.

The lovely Mexico Honey was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut out and layered on the background I created with cardstock and Neon Washi Tape. I'm truly loving how they look against the black cardstock. The sentiment is one of many in the One Cool Hombre stamp set from Stamp Annie*Thing.

My design is based on Graphicat Challenge Sketch #35.

Now I have first hand knowledge that the rest of our Sassy Designers' creations are simply amazing this week. Make sure you check them out over at the SSD Blog, and then share your creation with us!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Ruza

Ingredients:  Neenah Solar White, Recollections & Bazzill cardstock, Core-Cards, Nestabilities Dies, Forever in Time Neon Washi Tape, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, Dauber.
