Designed 2 Delight Weekly Challenge & Playing in Paradise

This is my first time playing in the Monthly/Weekly Challenge over at Designed 2 Delight.  I made myself a promise to put this at the top of my list for challenges this month.  I really enjoy working with Digi-stamps because I LOVE to color, and if you play along with Designed 2 Delight weekly challenges, you receive a FREE Digi-stamp via email for the next weeks challenge.  All of the information about the challenges are located here.

This is the FREEBIE we received this week called "Spring Fence".  I made the stamp my focal point on this card.  To start off I printed four (4) copies of this stamp.  I colored the fence on the first copy ... the flowers and flower pot on the second ... the stems, leaves, and fern on the third copy ... with my Copic Markers.  The fourth copy I trimmed down to the size I wanted for my card, and applied Forest Moss and Stormy Sky Distress Ink accordingly.  The biggest part of my card was fussy cutting all of the leaves, flowers, stems, pots, fence, etc.  Once this was done I layered it all on the fourth copy.  The fence and flower stems and fern were attached with my Quickie Glue Pen, and small zots were rolled up and put under the areas hanging over to keep them popped up.  The flowers, pots, and each leaves were attached with 1/4" Pop Dots.  Some of the Pop Dots were cut in half or quarters to get the effect I was looking for.

Sideview that shows layering a little better.

I really had a great time creating this card, and knew going in that I would also submit this card to Playing in Paradise Challenge #18: Paper Piecing.

I hope you enjoy my design and you are inspired to go forth and create.

Thank you for stopping by!
