Good morning. November has come and is almost over, and Christmas is truly right around the corner. Today's Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenge #153 is perfect for getting ready for Christmas. This week we want to see your Christmas Projects, but NO cards. Yup, we want to see anything but a card from you this week.
I created a Gift Tag / Ornament this week.
The tag / ornament is 4" x 4" in diameter.
Featuring the lovely Ellie the Elf who was colored with Copics, and fussy cut out. The background was created using Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs Die and DCWV's Christmas Combo DP and Tradewinds Glittered DP. The snow globe was created with Memory Box Design Adhesives and Rub on Foil, and Snowflake Dimensional Stickers. Solids colors were used for the back, and 1/8" green ribbon was weaved thru the holes to create the hanger.
The sentiment is from Cas-ual Friday's Merry Kiss-mas stamp set.
I had a fun creating this project. Well to be truthful using the Doily Motifs Die was a PITA. The DP didn't want to come out of the die ... it actually ripped so I started all over again. After I was done with my project I heard that when you use intricate dies you need to add wax paper between the die and your paper. It makes getting the cardstock out easier. Haven't tried this yet, but I will next time.
For more inspirational projects head on over to the SSD Blog to check out what the other Designers created. They will amaze you, as they did me when I saw them!!
Next week I'm going to be joining Regan over in our SSD Group at Paper Craft Planet for the Fabulous Freebie Friday Challenges, and you will have another awesome group of Designers providing inspiration for our weekly DTBST Challenges.
Until next time ... Enjoy!
