Happy Birthday ...

Good morning! It's hard to believe that it's July 1st already. The year is going by so quickly! My fellow American's please be safe as you celebrate Independence Day 🎆 4th of July 🎆 this weekend!

Show us projects featuring Die Cuts,
but remember to have more than One Score.

This month I made a card that features a variety of dies. I pulled out one of my older dies, a Cherry Lynn Lattice #2 A2 Frame Die. I really love this die and it sparked a lot of ideas for this months challenge.

To make my cardbase I cut two pieces of cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11" ... 1 in the PI Vintage Cream cardstock and 1 in PI Clear Cardstock. I scored each piece at 5-1/2" with my Scor-Pal Eights Board

I cut down two (2) pieces of Scor-Tape 6" x 6" Adhesive Sheet to A2 size and adhered one (1) to a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of PI Vintage Cream cardstock. I ran it thru my Big Shot with the A2 Frame Die. I then adhered it to my PI Clear Cardstock. Next I connected the two (2) pieces of cardstock using the 2nd pieces of Adhesive Sheet. Using the Adhesive Sheet made it so much easier to adhere the intricate die to my cardstock, and to connect the cardstock. With the cardbase done, now it's time to decorate it.

I pulled out my never before used PI Floral Sketches Stamps Set and the coordinating Floral Sketch Dies. I stamped one of each flower using PI Orange Zest Ink, and the leaves with PI New Leaf Ink. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink was used for the details. Once the stamping was done, I used the coordinating Floral Sketch Dies to cut them out. I then pulled out the PI Fun Frames Die, adhered some Adhesive Sheet to a scrap of Vintage Cream cardstock and cut it out. Before I added it to my card I added the birthday sentiment from PI Offbeat B-Day Stamp Set. To make the sentiment fit on the Fun Frame Die I cut the sentiment apart before stamping it.

Using a combination of Scor-Tape 6" x 6" Adhesive Sheet, 1/4" Scor-Tape, and 3/4" Foam Tape I pulled all of the pieces together to create the design on the front of my card, with a little extra on the inside.

Here's a picture of the card open. I love how much room I will have on the inside to send off my birthday wishes.

Here's a picture taken from above ...

I am very impressed with your card and how it opens up. Loving that die cut background from Cheery Lynn and it maybe on my wish list now. The flowers floating on the clear sheet. I think that vellum would work too? Right? Thanks for entering this week at Seize the Birthday. Hope to see you again.
