Bugaboo has two challenges going on this week, and I combined both of the challenges to create my card. The first challenge is to create a "Celebration" project for the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog, and the second is the "Wacky Wednesday Challenge #3" on Paper Craft Planet called "Recipe Challenge". The Recipe calls for 2 printed/patterned paper, a sassy or silly sentiment and bling.
I went with one solid color and one patterned paper for my design. Now for my golfer. This is the Freebie I got at Bugaboo last Friday called AKV Golf Bag. I printed this awesome guy out on white paper, colored him with my copic markers, and then fussy cut him out. Yep, I fussy cut him. I layered the different pieces on the greenish PP, drew in the pertinent parts like hands, neck and golf club handles, and then put him back together. LOL
I used my Lawn Fawn stamps to finish off the design. The flag and pole are from Cruisin Through Life, with the number on the flag from Admit One, and the sentiment was created with Harold's ABC's. I added a pearl to represent a golf ball. Our golfer just missed making PAR. For non-golfer's PAR means you finished the hole in the number of strokes that the golf course says your supposed to finish the hole in. A BOGEY means that you finished the hole with one extra stroke.
My hubby is a golfer, and this is perfect for him! He gets BOGEY's once in a while. The inside of the card contains my personal Father's Day message to him.
I hope my card provides you with a giggle, and some inspiration to go forth and create.
Thank you for stopping by!
