Every Friday Sassy Studio Designs gives away a FREE image in the SSD Group over at Paper Craft Planet. The image is only up for 24-hours.
Before I joined the Design Team I always enjoyed getting these awesome FREEBIE's, and playing along with their 2-wk Challenge. This week I created a card with the Soda Pop girl that was FREE last Friday, but I didn't really follow the challenge. ;o)
I went with pink overalls in remembrance of my youth! HA! Me and my friend used to have a pair of pink overalls. We were both blonds, of course Teena was blonder than me, and our hair was longer. I used an old sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Blog for my layout.
As I was designing my card my thoughts were with my friend Laurel Beard whose husband is in the Navy and was deployed about a week ago. The Lawnscaping Blog has started a new "Hero's Card Drive" similar to Operation Write Home. I really appreciate what OWH does for our troops and think it is awesome that another group has been started so that the Men/Women in the Navy can have the same opportunity.
This card is one of many that I will be sending off later this week for the "Hero's Card Drive"! For more information on how you can show your support head on over to The Lawnscaping Blog for all the details!
Until next time ... Enjoy!
