Good Morning and WELCOME to the QKR Stampede Blog Hop to introduce our NEW Design Team. There are a variety of different projects being showcased today by the Design Team using Digital Stamps.
If you arrived here from Michelle M., then you're on the right track. However, if you just arrived, you'll want to start at the QKR Stampede Blog so that you can see all of the wonderful projects created by the Design Team.
My son recently moved into his new house he had built and I knew these lovely Birdhouses would be perfect to create a card to Congratulate him and his wife. This card was featured on the QKR Stampede Blog this past Tuesday, which you can see here. But that is not all I did with this image. Let's start at the beginning shall we. ;o)
I colored the Birdhouses with my Copic Markers, cut the image out and then scanned it into my computer. After scanning the image I pulled it into MS Word to create Change of Address Announcements for my son and his wife.
How did I create this announcement you ask?
... After pulling the image into MS Word I added a frame around the birdhouse. Next up was to create a text box for my sentiment with a shadow border to match the frame color, and then I created another text box for their new address. Going this route made it so much easier to mass produce 25 announcements. I printed all the copies on Solar White 80# cardstock from Neenah, cut them down to size and applied Forest Moss Distress Ink from Tim Holtz around the edges.
Lauren chose to have the announcements go out as postcards so I left the extra cardstock off of their 25 copies so they wouldn't get ruined in the mail. Postcard size is 5-1/4" x 4-1/4".
The original image that I colored was used to create the card.
Your next stop is Sara Paschal.
Make sure you stop by the QKR Stampede Blog at the end of the Blog Hop to let us know what you thought of today's Hop! Then head on over to the QKR Stampede Store to see all of the lovely Digital Images available. You don't work with Digital Stamps you say! All of the images are available as unmounted, natural red rubber stamps. The best of both worlds for all us crafty stampers!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the Blog Hop as much as I know I will!
Until next time ... Enjoy!
