... Gardening Journal ...

Good morning.  I hope each of you had a marvelous week. Me, it's been kinda crazy. I forgot about Katie's Valentines for her classmates, and rushed out Wednesday to get the sweet treats to wrap. Spent most of the week going thru paperwork so the hubby can do our taxes this weekend. Running late on this also. :D

I was really happy that this weeks QKR Stampede Challenge #26 is "Anything Goes"!  My project today showcases a Custom Order for our very own QKR Stampede Owner Maribeth Douglas.  She is starting / switching up her Garden this year and asked us Designers if anyone would be interested in creating a Gardening Journal for her back in January. I volunteered, and here is what I created.

The Gardening Journal was created with October Afternoon's Here & Now Book - Grow.  The adorable young girl is from QKR Stamped, and is called Gardener (digi12403).  I knew she would be perfect for Maribeth's Journal! She was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and layered on the covered book cover.

For the inside of the journal I used the Cakewalk Here & Now Chapter from October Afternoon (OA).  I covered the Chapters with DP from OA, used some stamps in my stock, and other OA Products ... Farm Girl Word Stickers ... Farmhouse Rub-ons ... Woodland Park 8x8 Paper Pad , and various 12x12 DP by OA.

This next Chapter contains QKR Stampede's Garden Grow Sentiment (digi12407) that I framed and added to this Chapter.

There are pages inside the Chapters that she can add photo's, notes, etc. so I decided to create some journalling cards for her to use.

The DP is from OA, and some scraps I had laying around. I used Neat & Tangled Swirly Twirly Tags stamps, along with This Life by Ali Edwards (Technique Tuesday).

This was the first time I have attempted this type of project. I had a blast making the Journal! Maribeth received her package in the mail last week, and I know that she truly LOVES it!  The package I sent Maribeth also contained the stickers, rub-on's, and a couple other items that I didn't use on the Journal.

Both of the stamps I used are available in Digital and Red Rubber format in the QKR Stampede Store.

The rest of the QKR Designer created some gorgeous projects to share with you today, so please hop over to the QKR Blog to check them out, and then come join the FUN!

Whew! That was a little long, even for me, but I thank you for staying with me! :D

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Wow. This is beautiful and what a fantastic idea. The 'boss' should be very proud of this impressive creation.
