Good morning! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today.
Our "Theme" this month is Back-to-School.
When I saw the NEW Smart Samantha I knew she would be perfect for a Back-to-School project. I wasn't sure what I would use her for, so I just got my Copic Markers out and colored her.

I always make something school-related for my nieces birthday. So this year I decided to alter a 5" x 7" Notebook, and turned it into a Home-Work Notebook.
Once I decided on my project, I fussy cut Smart Samantha and put her on the side. I found an awesome sketch over at Moving Along with The Times Challenge Blog, and then proceeded to pull all of my material out.
(1) 5" x 7" Office Max Notebook
AMS School Lined & Navy Petite Polka Dot cardstock
My New Favorite Things Die's
A good old fashioned hole punch.
SRM Express Yourself #42025 High School Stickers
SRM We've Got Your Border #57004 Thank You Stickers
To get the School Lined cardstock to go thru the edge of the Spiral, I lined up the paper and added some pencil marks, used a ruler to get the depth, and then proceeded to use a hole punch on the marks. Score-Tape was used to apply the School Lined cardstock with Tombow Multi-Liquid Clear Glue on the spiraled edge.
To create the walkway I used a MFT Retro Squares Die as a my template, applied Distress Ink with a dauber, and then used more Distress Ink to create the sky background.
The 4 stickers going down the right side from the SRM H.S. set are perfect to provide encouragement for a young lady. After layering all the pieces together I added the SRM Border Sticker along the top and bottom of the Notebook, and then added the Home-Work sticker which was added to some School Lined cardstock and cut down to size.
