Good Morning and Happy April Fool's Day! It's the 1st of the month, so I have a new House of Cards challenge to share with you!
I decided to try my hand at water coloring this month, and created a couple of Butterfly cards.
I pulled out my AMS Papillon Stamp Set and stamped with Staz'on Black Ink onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper. Faber-Castell Art Grip Acquarelle Pencils were used to color the first card, and Gelatos were used to color the second card. To apply the water I used some water pens that I've had for a long time, and it was a LOT harder to use than say a paint brush. Once both designs were dry I added the sentiments from the AMS Wild Rose Stamp Set, and layered them on my card base.
I found that coloring with my Copic Markers is so much easier, and that creating these cards taught me that water coloring is hard work! I need a LOT more practice using this medium.
Make sure you hop on over to the House of Cards Challenge Blog for all of the details for entering our Monthly Challenges! I can't wait to see what inspires you this month!
