Valentine Matchbook's ...

Good morning! I'm over on the GI Blog today sharing some Valentine Matchbook's featuring the F626 Swirly Valentines stamp available at Great Impressions Stamps.

I love making Valentine's for my daughter to hand out to her peers, and these Valentine Matchbook's are perfect and so easy to make.  All you need to do is measure the length of your candy treat, double the length and add room for the bottom and fold on top, then add about 1/4" to the width of the treat, fold and presto you are done. Not really. :-D

I then used my Tim Holtz Tiny Stapler to staple the bottom part of the treat into the Matchbook. Make sure if you try this idea out that you staple close to the bottom edge so you can tuck the flap into the Matchbook.

Since I used red cardstock for the base, I added a white strip for my sentiment and some washi-tape along the bottom to cover the staples.

Here is a picture of the inside treat ...

and then a side view ...

Love the matchbooks, and what a great idea to cover the staples with washi tape, I have so much of the stuff and seldom use it, well guess what - I'm going to make some of these sweet treats.
