Good afternoon. Today is the start of a NEW Challenge over at Rubbernecker Stamps. Every fortnight I will be sharing a NEW Challenge with all of you.
I got a little creative for today's card. I made the background paper by sprinkling some Alizarin Crimson Color Burst (Brights) onto RN Watercolor Paper, and spritzing it with water. Once the paper was dry I cut it out with one of the Nested Rectangle Stitch Dies (5007D) and put it on the side. Using one of the smaller dies in the set I cut out a piece of white cardstock and added the sentiment from the Best Friends Etc. Set (3032), and applied Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Ink around the edges. Using an Apple Die from my stash I cut the apple from red cardstock, and the stem from green cardstock.
I layered the design paper I created onto red cardstock, and then on to my cardbase. Using 3D Foam Tape I added the apple and sentiment. I then added some googly eyes and red twine to create a happy face on the apple. A white gelly roll pen was used to create the stitching around the apple, and finished off my design with the red enamel dots.

This fortnight our Challenge #16 is all about Back to School.

I haven't forgot about sharing the projects I made at the Crafting Retreat I went to earlier in the month. I've just been catching up on home stuff. Pictures have been taken, and I need to edit them before writing up my posts. They are coming. 😉
Until next time ... Enjoy!
