RN Anything Goes Challenge ...

Good afternoon. Today is the start of a NEW Challenge over at Rubbernecker Stamps. Every fortnight we have a NEW Challenge for you to join, and this fortnight our Challenge #19 is Anything Goes

Today's card features the beautiful Poppies Background stamp (681) along with the Thank You Sentiment (1050-01). I stamped the poppies on Strathmore Watercolor Paper with Black Archival Ink, and colored them in using my Zig Markers (red, brown, and two blues), paintbrush and water. The red comes out more like pink, so I mixed in some brown to give it a darker color. I cut the colored panel down to 5-1/4" x 4" and applied Tim Holtz Faded Jeans around the edges. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on cream cardstock, cut out with one of the Nested Rectangle Stitch Dies (5007D), and applied my distress ink.

I didn't want to cover the background image completely so I took the sentiment panel, and scored it 1/2" on the right side. I then folded it under my poppies panel, added 3D Foam Tape to adhere it to my cardbase, and then used a Removable Glue Dot to hold the sentiment down.

Sentiment Panel Opens to show the poppies background.

Studio Grey Gems were added to the center of each of the poppies, and I used a Uniball White Pen to add dots over the blue background.

I love how you can showcase the card with or without the sentiment covering the image.
