Anniversary Shaker Card ...

Good afternoon. I have a NEW Challenge to share with you featuring products from Rubbernecker Stamps. This fortnight our Challenge #28 is to "Make it Shake".

The focus of today's card features the New Mixable Flower Stack Die (5109D) and Small Leaf Group Die (5110D) that were released in January. I created my own DP for the flowers and leaves by dropping Ken Oliver Color Burst - Brights onto RN Watercolor Paper, sprayed it with water with my Mini Mister, and put it on the side to dry.

While my DP dried, I pulled out the RN Nested Oval Die Cut (5004D) to cut my window in my panel. I lined the panel up with my cardstock and added the Anniversary Sentiment from the Best Wishes Etc Stamp Set (3029). Clear cardstock was added behind the oval panel with Scor-Tape. 3D Foam Tape was added around the oval, and the whole panel. I then added my shaker items inside the oval, and added the sentiment panel over the oval panel. The shaker panel was added to my cardbase, and put on the side.

Time to cut out my flowers and leaves. Since there are five (5) different sized flowers in the  Mixable Flower Stack Die (5109D) I cut out three (3) sets. I crisscrossed layered 3 of the flowers from the set together, and faux layered them on my card. I slid in the leaves until I found the layout that worked for me, and then adhered the flowers and leaves. I added pearls to the center of each flower, and then in the upper right hand corner.

I've made Shaker cards before, but never with the sentiment inside. Next time I will make sure the sentiment is lower and more centered. Live and learn.

This is such a gorgeous card! The colors are so pretty and I love how you brought the flowers to life through the layered petals. I really like the way you used the Color Burst and it was so clever to make this into a shaker card. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the sentiment and its placement, so I wouldn't change a thing! Thanks for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
