Wishing you Peace ...

Good afternoon and Merry Christmas.

I along with the some of the other Designers created special holiday cards to share with you today, featuring stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

Today's card was created with one of the Moose and a tree from the Cause a Scene #2 - Moose Stamp Set that I paired up with one of the Sentiment from Snowflakes & Stardust Set 481.

I stamped the Christmas Moose, then created a mask of the Moose so I could add the trees. Memento Cottage Ivy was used for stamping the trees over my mask. Once done, I removed the mask and used my Copic Markers to color the moose. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied to create the sky and ground cover. I then stamped the holiday sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The scene was cut out with Pierced Square Dies, after layering the scene on red cardstock that was cut out with the same die I used 3D Foam Tape to add it to my design paper card. Golden Rod and X-Mas Red Stickles was applied to the lights on the Christmas Moose. The final step in creating today's card was to add the red enamel dots.

Here is a closer look at the scene I created ...

I hope you take the time to check out the other Holiday Cards that were made to wish you a Merry Christmas. Stop by the Rubbernecker Blog to check them out. We also have a weekly CONTEST were you can WIN FREE STAMPS, so make sure you hop on over to the Rubbernecker Blog and leave the designers some love!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

May the Magic ...

Good afternoon. Christmas is fast approaching and I'm down to my last couple of holiday cards to share.

Today's card features the Ornament Branches (966) which I paired up with one of the Sentiments from Snowflakes & Stardust Set 481 from Rubbernecker Stamps.

To start I stamped the Ornament Branches with Memento Cottage Ivy Ink, and then again with Tuxedo Black Ink. I cut down the panel of the Green Ornament Branches and used a silver pen to go over the strings for the ornaments. I layered the Ornament Branches panel on my background. Next I colored the black ornaments with my Copic Markers, and fussy cut them out. I then adhered the ornaments leaving two of the ornaments hanging over the panel. I added the sentiment, and spritz the whole card with Stardust Finishing Spray that I've got from A Muse years ago. It provides a shimmery effect on the card.

Season's Greetings ...

Good morning! It's bitter cold here in Illinois. Yesterday's high was a big old 5-degrees ... brrrr. I'm so ready for Summer! 😏 I have a Christmas card to share with you today.

Today's card focus is the adorable Winter Chickadee (C427) which I paired up with the Seasons Greetings Sentiment (C427). I stamped the adorable bird and sentiment on my card, colored the bird with my Copic Markers, and applied distress ink around the image to represent the sky. I then used a ruler with a black and green markers to create the frame.

Now that I look at my card, I see that I should have centered the image better. Guess that's what I get for rushing. 😁

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Merry Christmas ...

Good morning! Today's card is inspired by the Crazy 4 Challenge #366. The last challenge of the year is to use 1 of the 11 Sketches from 2016.

Today's card features the adorable Christmas Friends (F148) which I paired up with the Merry Sentiment (D511) from Great Impressions Stamps. I made this card to send off to my great-niece with her Christmas Present.

I stamped the adorable Christmas Friends 2x's with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored them in with my Copic Markers. One was cut out with my Nestabilities circle die which I layered on a Scalloped Circle. Tim Holtz Distress ink was applied with a dauber below and above the image. I fussy cut the animals on the 2nd copy, and used 3D Foam Squares to pop them in front of the girl.

For the background I embossed some white shimmer paper with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder. I layered plain white paper over the embossed paper and used one the MFT Ride the Wave Dies to get my strip. Both pieces were layered over Gold Cardstock, and adhered to my Blue card. Once the sentiment was added, 3D Foam Tape was used to add my scalloped circle.

Christmas Present ...

Good afternoon. With the holidays just around the corner I created a Christmas card featuring an adorable stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps!

Today's card focus on the adorable little guy named Jack (891-10). I stamped him a couple of times, colored him with my Copic Markers, and fussy cut him out with a bit of paper-piecing involved. Jack was placed in front of a Frosted Spruce Tree that I put on the Cherise Label inside of the Tiffany Frame Dies. I then added a variety of rhinestone to represent ornaments along with a star to the tree.

The background (red) paper was created with a dauber and Tim Holtz Festive Berries and Walnut Stain Distress Ink on white cardstock. I added the May Arts Dark Olive 1.5' Crochet Ribbon to the center, added it to my card, and then used 3D Foam Tape to add the scene I created.

I originally picked up Jack (891-10) to make a Birthday card, but decided to create a holiday card instead. He is such a cutie!

Season's Greetings ...

Good morning! Today's card is Clean & Simple and features one of my favorite images from Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card focus on the adorable Ice Skating Penguin (E903)Dotted Ice Flake (E905), and Season's Greetings Sentiment (C427). I started by stamping all three of the stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink making sure that the Ice Skating Penguin lines up perfectly with the Dotted Ice Flake. This is a scene all by itself ... the Penguin skating creates a snowflake in the Ice. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied over the Dotted Ice Flake and around the Penguin.

I stamped an extra Ice Skating Penguin, colored him in with my Copic Markers, fussy cut him out, and then used a mix of 3D Foam Squares and tape to paper-piece the Penguin in my scene. Using a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen I went over the Dotted Ice Flake to make it shimmer. Once the layers were put together on my card, I applied StarDust Finishing Spray to the whole card. This makes the whole card shimmer. It looks amazing in person! 😊

With Christmas fast approaching I created a holiday card featuring the adorable Snow Pals (J70) which I coordinated with the Beauty of the Season Sentiment (E127). I stamped the Snow Pals 3 times, colored them with my Copic Markers and fussy cut out the front snowmen along with their scarves from 2 of them. The sentiment was stamped above the main Snow Pals, distress ink was applied around them, then I paper-pieced the forward snowman with 3D foam squares and tape. Black enamel dots were then added for their buttons.

MHK Designs ~ Great Impressions Stamps
Beccy's Place ~ Cute as a Button

I created two (2) cards to share with you today. The first card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch #265 (shown below), and features the Holiday Wreath from Cute as a Button.

I printed this lovely girl on Neenah Solar White cardstock, colored the image with my Copic Markers, and cut her out. She was layered on a scalloped circle, and popped on my white card that I applied Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on. A variety of Stickles was used for the hat, ornaments and holly berries. Using StazOn Jet Black Ink I added the Merry Sentiment from Great Impressions Stamps to Clear Cardstock, cut it out with my MFT Hz-Stitched Strips Die and used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to layer it over the image.

My second card was inspired by the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #2-103 (shown below).

I stamped the Snowy Trees stamp from Great Impressions Stamps on white cardstock with Memento Cottage Ivy Ink. A Large Nestabilities Oval Die was used to cut out the image. I then applied a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the sky and ground. Once I layered my design on the background I created with DP, I added Stickles to represent the snow on the trees and in the sky with the final addition of enamel dots in the lower right hand corner.
